The staff are truly lovely, friendly but not over friendly and the food was excellent. Their breakfast choices are wonderfully eclectic and locally sourced. We love this place and return regularly.

It’s a lovely location and convenient if travelling by car for Bury and other small and interesting villages. Was our second visit and the food continues to be exceptional for such a small hotel. Bathroom toiletries were of a high quality. Not withstanding my comments below, this is such a lovely venue for a romantic weekend.
The place was lovely, surrounded by nature. Very relaxing. We met the owner who was super nice and brought us a new BBQ even before we had the time to ask for it. The lodge was clean and tidy. Perfect stay for a weekend away
Resturant and bar were lovely.. pool was very relaxing and the steam room and jacuzzi were very relaxing
The room is beautiful; large, has a lovely view, good amenities. The fire place was great and the bath enormous. It’s incredibly relaxing and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. I stayed with my mum who is having cancer treatment. I asked if it was possible for food to be delivered to the room, and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. They waived the fee and even upgraded our room. It was incredibly kind and they were so helpful whilst we were there.

Swimming pool was lovely. We were upgraded to a suite and the room was lovely. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Spa where I had massage was relaxing, really great massage and friendly staff.
The hotel was lovely and as it was our anniversary we got a free upgrade to a stunning 4 poster room. Food was really lovely and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Loved the central location for shopping and eating. We paid to use the onsite parking which was a real bonus.
Very friendly service, very knowledgeable and able to answer any questions, very attentive, lovely hosts. The garden is absolutely gorgeous and in the sunshine is a very welcome addition, the bar was really lovely with relaxing music playing at a low volume so you can still hear each other talk, the bar itself is very well presented. Very comfortable beds with relatively spacious rooms. Location is great and secluded, a perfect place to stay for a couples weekend in the countryside.
Very opulent, clean and comfortable. The food was very good, in fact my friend said her steak was the best she’d ever had! And she’s eaten a lot of steaks! The leisure club was fab! Very large pool with jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The buffet breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We both had a beauty treatment. My therapist was a total ray of sunshine! Abbey was lovely! Also the lady that worked in the bar and restaurant (dark hair in a pony tail and glasses) was so lovely! Overall a fab relaxing stay in a great hotel. I will be back!
