gorgeous hotel with exceptionally friendly staff - booked a superior double feature room and seems we got upgraded to a suite free of charge which was a lovely surprise considering it was my partner and I’s anniversary so it was nice to have our own little space
The location is amazing, so close to Bakewell Centre but still peaceful and relaxing. The little touches like a bottle of wine and Bakewell Pudding on arrival was a lovely surprise and the heating was on so the place was lovely and warm (but not too warm)! The instructions were very clear to find the property!
Spacious modern rooms with nice walk in shower. Nice decor and comfortable bed. Lovely clean leisure facilities with nice relaxing pool. Large steam room and sauna, and the jacuzzi was huge. Like the ice room too.
Excellent outdoor pool for relaxing with jacuzzi bubbles, loved the Finnish sauna, steam room & floatation pool. Delicious breakfast. Staff lovely, friendly and helpful. Beautiful architecture of building from the outside. Comfy bed
A lovely little compact cottage. Very cosy with the log burner and candles. Milk, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a bottle of wine a very pleasant surprise thank you. Bed was very comfortable and we had great sleep for the 2 nights we were there. Books, games available. Close to some lovely walks and Cromford was lovely with some nice pubs and eateries. A very relaxing break.
Lovely quirky room, in the loft...loved the skylight windows. Very comfortable and super clean. Had a little kitchen area with a microwave and sink and lots of crockery and cutlery. The hosts have thought of everything. Location is a one minute walk from a great pub ...where we ordered takeaway pizza, which we took back to the room with a bottle of wine ...Perfect stay
Fabulous facilities. Hotel upgraded to a high standard. Large bedrooms, very comfortable beds, and lovely decor throughout. Spa facilities great and all clean and well equipped.. Staff were lovely and atmosphere was relaxing. Bit pricey which is the only downside.
The area is lovely, we enjoyed the walks and greenery. We went for a night to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. We got the superior room. (This is the honeymoon suite) which the room size was amazing. The massive bath was a lovely touch to the room as we really wanted a quiet romantic night away. We loved the fact that our bed had chocolate mints left and the coffee and tea facilities in the room gave a good choice.
I arrived early and waited in the bar until my room was available. I was delighted to receive a free upgrade and I was told it was the best room in the hotel. Indeed it was! It was absolutely lovely, right from the huge bed, the free-standing luxury bath in the bedroom to the separate seating and work area. There was a beautifully appointed walk-in shower bathroom with luxurious toiletries and a plethora of big, soft, white fluffy towels. I wish I could have stayed longer!
