In the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Lister Arms is a quintessential English pub and AA 4-star 18th-century inn, offering home-cooked food and cosy accommodation. Free WiFi and parking on site is available for guests. We stayed in the converted barn part of the inn that is around the corner from the pub. It was really nice, high end, and recently renovated. There was a common room to hang out in too. We had great weather and were able to hang out in the garden but I think it would be really nice in the winter too since there is a fireplace. The pub had excellent food and the staff was great. We loved it and hope to go back.

Set in an elegant Victorian house, the 4-star Fountains Guest Accommodation is just a 5-minute walk from Harrogate’s historic centre. Fountains offers cooked breakfasts and traditional rooms with free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. We loved everything about our stay at the Fountains. The room was well equipped, with a gorgeous garden view.The beds were comfy and the rainfall shower was luxuriously hot! Location is everything when you are only staying a couple of nights and the Fountains did not disappoint - it was just a short stroll into town. The staff were amazing, really friendly and nothing was too much for them. Breakfast choice was plentiful, with cereals, yogurts and juice followed by a delicious cooked breakfast if you wanted it.

This bed and breakfast provides free private parking and luggage storage space. Forbidden Corner is 23 km from the bed and breakfast and Aysgarth Falls is 25 km away. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room was well furnished and decorated. Plenty of hot water in en suite shower room. Had a choice of several breakfasts but opted for traditional English breakfast which set us for the day and was well cooked and delicious. Could have had cereal, yogurt, fruit juice etc. if we had wished. Sat in bay window for our breakfast watching the birds feeding in the front garden at various bird feeders. Ten minutes stroll to Richmond Square.
