The property is set 3.8 km from Brownsea Castle and 5 km from The Italian Villa. Great location, fabulous views. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Comfortable rooms with an excellent breakfast. Interesting watching the RNLI boats going out too.
Chesterfield
Located within 23 km of FlyDSA Arena and 35 km of Buxton Opera House in Chesterfield, The Peacock at Barlow provides accommodation with seating area. The air-conditioned accommodation is 15 km from Chatsworth House. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. We stayed one night B+B with our daughter and granddaughter who are with us from USA for 2 weeks over Christmas. We dined in the evening in the restaurant. Could not fault anything about The Peacock. Great location in the Derbyshire countryside - just 15 minutes to Chatsworth House. Rooms, food, drink, staff and management excellent. Our US visitors said it was the best place they had ever stayed at. Highly recommended!!

Just a shame I was there on my own and for only 1 night.

The rooms were very well done. It has a bit of a "Restoration Hardware" vibe with the furnishings, which we really loved. The bathroom had a very luxurious shower. The bed was so soft and comfortable, and felt luxurious for a hotel. The location was great, in the center of Leeds. I highly recommend the restaurant Tattu, next to the hotel, it was fabulous. It felt like a luxury hotel experience. We were very happy with our stay.

The Bronte room is absolutely gorgeous. Loads of character and finished to a very high standard. A very, very lovely, relaxing place to stay. We would absolutely recommend this place and we will definitely be staying again. Kitchen area was fully equipped with everything we needed and the dining table was beautifully dressed ready to use. The bed was very comfy and the lighting in the room made it feel a very romantic and beautiful place to stay.
We were given a free upgrade and some gifts in our room for our anniversary which was a lovely touch and appreciated. Nice pool, gym facilities. Staff were very informative and friendly. There was a wedding on but we didn't hear it from our room which meant it was lovely and relaxing.
This is my second time staying here with my boyfriend and it’s an ideal London hotel. The location is great, close to some amazing restaurants and bars and on top of that having jin bo law there is amazing. We were very kindly upgraded to a suite and were given treats and a bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary. Little things down to having makeup wipes and toothbrush in the bedroom were lovely touches. Bed is also super comfy!! Love staying here!! Thank you again!! Staff went above & beyond and it made the trip really special!
Such a great location! And comfy/clean rooms. We was celebrating our wedding anniversary and was kindly given an upgrade on arrival with an amazing view of Westminster and Big Ben and also given a complimentary bottle of wine, staff were really friendly and helpful and the place was just simply lovely!
The customer service was superb as soon as we arrived, we were welcomed with glasses of prosecco and got a free upgrade for my boyfriends birthday which was brilliant! The hotel was absolutely gorgeous and the room was extremely clean, spacious and comfortable. You are provided with Elemis products which are luxury, as well as a robe, slippers and towels. The spa was fantastic and very romantic. Overall, we had the most romantic time and we were gutted when we had to leave. Definitely planning on coming back in the Summer.
The free room upgrade was greatly appreciated and the room was lovely. The spa was great and very relaxing. The Leonardo hotels are our special treat to ourselves each year on our anniversary and we will be booking again as they are amazing.
My girlfriend and I have stayed at the Old Lodge twice now and both times the rooms were absolutely gorgeous, lovely and old! We also received a free room upgrade with a huge bathroom and a beautiful old style bath! Last time we had a wonderful 4 post bed and rose petals, so romantic! This is a perfect place for couples! We will definitely return soon!!!
This hotel is lovely. We were there for our 20th wedding anniversary and were given an upgrade. The room was beautiful and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the area quiet for a restful relaxing stay. Receptionist and staff were welcoming and helpful. If your looking for comfort and luxury this is the hotel for you.
Beautiful interesting hotel, lovely spa, especially the outside pool/jacuzzi! was lovely relaxing in the bubbles and looking at the stars :D We were upgraded to a suite which was beautiful and made our celebrations for our Anniversary and my Birthday really special. We had an amazing facial in the Spa and the relaxation room room was great!
Everything was amazing! I was able to communicate with the hotel really easily prior to my stay and arrange room upgrades and packages too. I proposed to my girlfriend on our second night and the staff were lovely enough to decorate the room with rose petals and a bottle of wine to make it extra special and helped me out each step of the way too! Really lovely facilities when we come back we are booking spa packages because it looks amazing! Breakfast was good and offered lots of choice too. Overall we had an amazing stay!
