Barú
Boasting a splendid beachfront location inside Rosario Islands National Park, the hotel is a 1-hour boat trip from Cartagena. There is a swimming pool, massage sessions are available and guests can go on snorkelling trips. The hotel and pool area were stunning. I loved the shower, it’s nice to have a small beach that you can access and the food portions were lovely, and huge!
Barú
SABAI Beach features 200 metres of private white sand beach and free WiFi access in public areas. It is located in Barú Peninsula (an island), 20 minutes’ drive from Barbacoas Bay.
Each room here will provide you with air conditioning, a balcony and a patio. Featuring a shower, private bathroom also comes with free toiletries. You can enjoy sea view from the room. Extras include a terrace and a minibar.
It is just such a beautiful place, natural and tranquil. The staff are fantastic, very nice and attentive, they made our stay very special. We would like to thank David, Chris, Raul and Luz and all the other staff - they were like friends.
The beach and water is outstanding, the best we have ever tried.
We will come back soon again. It was very hard to leave this magical place
Barú
Facing the beachfront, Aura Hotel Barú offers 3-star accommodation in Baru and features a garden, shared lounge and restaurant. 70 metres from Cholon Bay and 1.6 km from Agua Azul Beach, the property offers a bar and a private beach area. The accommodation provides room service, a concierge service and organising tours for guests. All was fine , the beach is beautiful the only compliant about that was that the beach had a lot of seaweeds , the hotel is very beautiful it’s like a paradise white beaches blue seas , food quality and drinks are excellent despite its prices ( a little high ) but they worth it in summary 100 % recommended no regrets!

Nicest people, delicious cocktails & food, a very relaxed environment. Outdoor shower epic view (we stayed on top floor). Felt very safe and no one was haranguing you, except to ask you what you want to eat or drink :) Definite highlight was going Nena Beach Club at Playa Blanca at about 4pm for sunset, which was gorgeous.
The breakfast was good, the location is very good, the staff is great! Would recommend this place for a getaway for a few days! The place is in a more relaxed part of the Playa Blanca so the big crowds aren't at your doorstep the whole time, which is nice too.
Great location and the staff are so lovely and helpful. Pizzas were lovely but dinner was not so much. And spent only one night and think it’s a great value for money.
Personnel was very welcoming, I asked to change a table because I wanted a better location for the honeymoon and they not only changed me the table, but prepared a dessert for us with “Felicitationes” this was a very nice surprise.
Sol and Camille are great hosts, there are only two private rooms upstairs with their own terrace and chill out area. The bathroom is shared and basic, but fresh water at all times. All their food is home cooked, vegetarian and very delicious. You can also refill your bottle there to reduce plastic waste. They also offer tours to different places. Be informed, there is no wifi but if you have a sim card the connections works. Electricity is only available from around 7pm -7am. Very relaxed place directly at the beach.
The room was nice and cosey and very clean. The sun beds were so lovely to relax on during the day. Staff were very helpful.
