Breakfast was tasty and generous. The service was excellent, the staff were polite and catered to our needs. For a three-star hotel, I'd say the breakfast was outstanding! The room we stayed in was quite spacious and had complimentary espresso pods. We enjoyed spending time in the sitting area, which doubled as the morning breakfast restaurant. The hotel's location is superb, a 5-minute walk to the train station to get to London and equally as close to the town center where there are restaurants, shops, and other amenities.

Absolutely love this hotel. Have stayed several times and it's now my go-to when working nearby and need to stay a night. Wish I'd found it sooner. It's not for you if you want a modern identikit hotel room. It is for you if you prefer charm and comfort. There may be the odd cracked tile, creaky staircase or worn carpet, but the bedrooms are large, comfortable and very pretty. The views over the gardens and surrounding grounds are lovely. It's like staying in a bedroom in a friend's mansion. The staff are lovely and breakfast great.
