Located within walking distance of the historic market town Penrith and within easy reach of the M6 and the West Coast Main Line.

Clean throughout, warm facilities toilet, shower and pods. Felt really safe & secure throughout our stay, the owner was regularly there keeping on top of the cleanliness of the property! He also took the time to introduce himself and really and gave us plenty of ideas on what to do on a rainy weekend in the lakes. Thank you Andy.

    Very nice hotel and lovely room, welcoming staff, relaxed and friendly atmosphere any time of the day. Room was very nice, warm and clean, breakfast was excellent, and restaurant bar food good. Staff were always helpful and pleasant. A really nice place to stay.

    Staff were lovely, house was interesting, it was clean and had a lovely relaxed feel to it, at night you couldn't hear a thing, it was silent! it is conveniently located to Pooley Bridge. The breakfast was lovely with a nice variety.

    Beautiful house with wonderful old-world charm. Lovely grand beds, big bathtubs (great after a day’s walking) and a lovely sitting room with a fire. Generous and delicious breakfast served by the very welcoming and kind Jackie. Very relaxed and friendly place. Home from home. Also a large kitchen with facilities where you can make a packed lunch or even cook a basic evening meal.

    Staff were very helpful and friendly. We received a free upgrade and our room was gorgeous with views across the water to Ullswater, the bridge and the river. The room was immaculate with a wonderful selection of complimentary tea, coffee, etc and very nice biscuits! Spacious and airy, with lovely decor, we couldn't have wanted anything more.
