Hudsons Guest House - Adults only, hotel in Lulworth Cove

Hudsons Guest House - Adults only offers adults only accommodation for people over the age of 18.

Arrived late, but still had a parking spot. Friendly, cheerful greeting, somewhere to sit down while completing the formalities, and an offer to carry my bag up to the room. All a relief in my tired and slightly frazzled state. Room was lovely. Not big, obviously, or it would be a double, but had a sink, fridge, hanging space, a couple of chairs and a desk, all without seeming overly crowded. Sockets near the bed as well. Two toilets available, and a night light in the hallway. Bathroom was spacious and shower looked good, though I didn't try it myself. And I got my bag carried down again. Would definitely return 2 months later: I did return, and it was even better. They had recognised my name on the booking, and amazingly remembered a couple of passing comments I made about my preferences, so did what they could to fulfill them. I was beyond impressed!

Little Court, hotel in Lulworth Cove

Little Court is a delightful Edwardian Country House with fabulous gardens, just 1 mile from the centre of historic Dorchester, and just 20 minutes from the World Heritage ‘Jurassic Coast’.

The bed was the most comfortable of all the hotel beds I have ever slept in. Seriously snooze-worthy. Amanda's check-in is quick and takes seconds. There was no check-out: I just left!. Very laid-back. Good breakfast served cheerfully. Spacious bathroom.

Westwood House, hotel in Lulworth Cove

Situated in Dorchester centre, Westwood House is a 20-minute drive from the scenic coast at Weymouth. Set in an historical 4-story building, the guest house offers free Wi-Fi and cooked breakfasts.

It was clean, comfortable. We had a room at the top of what is an town house and the views over Dorchester were wonderful from all the windows. Our room had a bedroom, a sitting room with a big telly and a large bathroom with a roll top bath and a separate great shower. Lovely thick towels provided. The breakfast which is included was first rate. Each morning I chose something different and each one, we were there 4 mornings, was delicious. The proprietors, Karl and Jocelyn, were so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect for us. Town centre with loads of good restaurants and coffee shops and the usual chains of shops but also lots of independent shops too. Loads of museums if that’s your thing. It is ours.

This beautiful 16th-century manor house offers incredible views across the Dorset countryside from its terrace.

Lovely manner of the staff, good old fashioned service in the best sense. The ladies in reception were very helpful, specially with arrangements to deal with an unexpected problem with our car. Thank you to them. This was our second visit, I'm sure we will return.

When I arrived the lovely staff had upgraded me to the sea view suite free of charge and made my stay very pleasant and welcoming. It was my birthday on my second day and when I returned from a long day of walking and sight seeing a lovely birthday treat had been left in my room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made my stay special. I will definitely stay again.

Cracking location and predominantly, that's what you are paying for, the room was very nice, but quite basic for the money, but its all about location. It would have been nice to have had a couple of little luxury touches given the nightly rate. Staff were friendly and approachable but often seemed stretched and a couple of times we had to ask twice for things as they weren't done the first time. Breakfast was lovely but just a 1 hour window seemed a bit tight.
