I didn't like that there was a coffee plunger in the room that I had to basically roast my own coffee. Instant coffee would have been preferred.

The place was clean and tidy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was really good. I really like this location it is away from everything, I really enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Unfortunately, our view was blocked by a wooden fence. Not a major issue, as we spent a lot of time at the Grillroom restaurant and the Pizza place onsite. My only complaints relate to The Grillroom Restaurant. Both nights we were there, certain menu items were unavailable. I can understand that it could be difficult to cater for everything, especially during the week. However, then they should give less options and ensure everything is available. The first morning we arrived for breakfast around 9:15. Even though they said BF would be available till 10, they started clearing the buffet as we walked in. We then ordered from the menu, which was good but the portions were quite small. Especially the health breakfast. The last complaint was the fact that they ran out of red wine. We couldn't do a wine tasting, and couldn't even order red wine with dinner! On a wine farm....?

A little off the beaten track, but that’s also what makes it so peaceful

Beautiful scenery, perfect room and excellent food. It was sad to see so few guests, but it was mid week, but despite this all facilities were fully functioning

The water temperature for the shower, just remained luke warm, not really heating up or getting warm water

The room was disappointing for the price. I couldn't sleep in the double bed, it was so, VERY uncomfortable. Just having a 30min rest on it gave me a sore back. Luckily we had been given a room with 2 single beds so my daughter and I could sleep on one each. Those beds were better, but still not great. The bathroom was also disappointing. I asked for a bath, but it was so tiny, neither my 6ft daughter nor I couldn't enjoy a relaxing bath at all. I was also sad to have a room at the back of the building with no view at all. I chose the venue, especially because of the views.

The food was wonderful. The staff were exceptional. All of them, but Steward, a new employee, was particularly wonderful and went over and above, to make us feel welcome.

Food was a bit slow, but the views while waiting were lovely.

We stayed as party of 10 split between the guest house (this review) and the coach house. Rooms were great, comfortable and clean, breakfast and food in restaurants were good.

At check out, we informed the staff that our bed was not that comfortable.

It was our 20th wedding anniversary and we are super happy that we chose such a beautiful location to spend the night.

On arrival I had had to ask a waiter where reception is, then waiting ten minutes for someone to help me. With loadshedding the place did not even have a standby generated to keep air-conditioners running, it was35 degrees centigrade.

The bed was very comfortable with very clean Linnen, there is not very much more that I liked about the place

The pool area is neglected, not as shown in the pictures, It was very green and warm. The room was clean, but smelled a bit odd - not pleasant. But nothing too bad. Saw in the booklet that pets were allowed in these rooms, might have been from previous pets that stayed in the room? We were not too bothered by it, but could be improved for future guests.

Location is great, dinner at the restaurant is nice and offers amazing views over the mountains. Staff is friendly and helpful. It's peaceful, no noise.

not offering a choice of coffee at breakfast was disappointing, not having a view from the room, except over the restaurant roof was disappointing, when there is such a fabulous view of the mountains!

Remember to book for resort restaurant as it can book out (we didn't know).

The views, accommodation, staff, and restaurants were superb. Cannot recommend this place enough. Will go back! Great place to relax and enjoy the views. Quaint history, lovely staff managing the wine tasting. Check-in was friendly and helpful.

Little bit of an issue with mosquitos and flies but that's to be expected on a working wine farm. A mosquito net for the bed would have been a nice added touch

Beautiful estate. Warm, friendly and accommodating staff. Food at both the Grill Room and Pizza Vista restaurants on site was exceptional and value for money. The pool was lovely.

Stunning location, the most beautiful views with quite breathtaking sunsets!! We were upgraded upon arrival to a better room, which made our stay even more special but the staff really went out of their way to provide excellent service. We appreciated them!! So convenient to have two restaurants on the premises as well. Can really recommend, it was memorable.

Milk or creamer in the room with the coffee will be a good start. Breakfast was only served from 8am, that is usually too late for anyone who has appointments in the morning. Maybe serve breakfast from 7am.
