The wifi didn't reach our little apartment, but it was great to disconnect for a few nights. Besides that, what a wonderful place!

It was a great and accessible location. The hosts were super helpful and friendly. They gave us extra blankets and a cot for our son. They even brought us a small table and chair and a potjie pot because we forgot ours. A beautiful view over the mountains with the sound of water in the background. The apartment itself is modern and beautifully clean, with wood to purchase. Great stay.

The room could have been cozier, especially with the cold winter months ahead. The extra warm blanket was great, but just not enough. Perhaps the hosts should consider adding a carpet, heater, fireplace? Also, the water pressure from the shower was low, which made the shower less pleasant.

The location was fantastic, close to town and very scenic surroundings. I appreciated the off-the grid and privacy feel to everything. The bed and linen were very comfortable, and the kitchen was kitted out well. The treats in the fridge were a nice welcoming touch. I do like the sustainability practices of the hosts; they take care of their beautiful property!

Nothing I didn't like.

I went in cold weather to get some solitude and into the mountains for silence. Both I got; wonderful. Pieter does not fuss but is there when you need him; helpful and friendly. The location is a bit too near the national road for complete silence, but really convenient for getting into Montagu for a great meal at any one of a number of restaurants.

Clean, well-appointed chalet in a beautiful location with friendly hosts! They even offered us late check out (since it was a Sunday) if we wanted to leave our bags at the room while we went climbing for the day.

The property is beautiful and the dogs are lovely companions. Everything is well thought out and my husband kept going on about how well designed and insulated the units were. You can take a stroll around the back of the property and the dogs are good guides to show where the path is. The owner is super friendly too.

What was not so pleasant, but this is a Montagu thing in general, No decent Braai wood. The Black Wattle or Port Jackson is great just for burning the weed, but someone in Montagu should make an effort to get in some proper Rooikrans or Kameeldoring.... just saying.

Everything, friendly welcome, just too prepared to go out their way to ensure our stay was pleasant. Totally prepared to accommodate our 2 Grandkiddies and did all possible to ensure they had fun... The setting is fabulous, just loved it... Swimming with all the goldfish and Koi in the dam was a special for my Grandkiddies and I, special moments they will always remember...
