Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

South AfricaI actually have no negative reviews, except that the Hermanus weather makes my hair frizzy lol. You can see that the owners keep up to date with maintenance of the building (maybe a touch of paint needed in a spot or two) and they ensure a clean and orderly stay for all guests.
I looked at the previous reviews and everyone rated the breakfast highly, which made me curious... Upon tasting the breakfast, I agree with the other reviews lol, the breakfast was amazing. Steven is a great host, and the room was comfy with modern finishes. The guesthouse was walking distance from all places one would wish to visit and I could see how the pool area would be desirable in summer.

The breakfast was exceptionally good. I do not think, you can get such a good breakfast in any cafe or restaurant in the town. The room was very clean and you could find everything you are looking for. The location of the guesthouse is also very good, quite area but still close to the town and to the cliff walk. We have received a lot information about the area, restaurants and sights nearby from the host.

United KingdomThe overall experience was fantastic. The property was in great condition and even had solar panels fitted to counteract load shedding problems. The staff/owner were fantastic, offering a great welcome, experience and knowledge of the area. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice, including a cooked breakfast of your choice. The property had a pool which I didn't get round to using, and safe secure parking. The location of the property was also brilliant, with a brief 5-10 minute gentle walk to the shops/restaurants and other amenities.

We really enjoyed our stay in this guesthouse. It is located in a quiet place but very close to the town centre and with a shortcut access to the famous cliff path. Stefan and Nikki are very welcoming hosts and helped us a lot with valuable recommendations on how to spend time. The room has new equipment and is very comfortable. We were there in hot time, but there was always fresh wind from the ocean in the night. Also, very delicious breakfast with generous portions. Definitely recommend this place!

One street back from the beach, little path takes you there in moments. Nice pool area - we didn't use because it was cold (January!!). We were in town in a short stroll along the cliff top, nice restaurants everywhere and a great bar overlooking beach area. (sky bar? I think). Nice rooms. The host gave us good advice about where we were heading, places to stop off and see/eat at on the way. It was a short visit, just one night, but we were treated as important guests. Breakfast was divine! The standard of accommodation and cuisine in South Africa is impressive, all the breakfasts we had along the way were lovely, but I think this might have been our favourite! The value due to £/rand makes the country very affordable (despite the airfare!). I'd love to come here in September to see the Whales, apparently it is amazing.
