Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

South AfricaAn aircon would have helped given the heat amd many mosquitoes - so opening the windows was not possible except in the bathroom that had a screen to keep mozzies out. Perhaps worth putting it on the other openings too? The fan in the room did help.
The room was spacious, clean and what was needed for our trip - a clean, comfortable bed at night as we were out during the day. Owner and staff very helpful and friendly made one feel most welcome.

United StatesOne room had air conditioning and it worked well. Would recommend air conditioning in all rooms.
Everything was very good - Staff was very attentive. Room was as expected - clean and with everything you need to have a quick meal, coffee and with refrigerator. Shower and towels were clean. Room was serviced daily. The Team at Middelplaas went the extra mile to accommodate an extra day extension. The breakfast was very nice. Overall great experience. Will stay here again!! Thank you Team Middelplaas... for a great stay!!!!

South AfricaThe room flooring all cracked, poor ventilation, wifi limited couldn't do much with it 200mb, the open view coulden watch aa movie properly being cut out, you on on a holiday you want to relax watch dstv or online movies. We it's located very hot no air-conditioning its its beautiful properly can do better. Breakfast plain yogurt didn't go nyc with the muesli. The juice was make on halls and very bitter. Dont cater for those who don't eat egg extra. So I made my own. Couches not comfortable. Abit of changes can be done upgrate new technology. Or latest. The shower flooring was dirty and no handwash. Room was dusty small cockoroaches, spiderweb its aa self catering services so people would buy in to make food bar fridges not working out nothing was cold my ce cream was melted. Mini oven would have worked better then a one plate stove

South AfricaThe views were not the best in the area but weren’t bad at all. (The rooms are all situated around a large farm dam).
The accommodation is situated on a farm on the edge of Paarl, and felt very safe (secure entrance). The room was large, well appointed, warm and clean. The staff were expecting us despite our last-minute booking, and they made a special effort to bring our breakfast early, as we had an early departure. All of this at an excellent rate!

Comfortable, clean and convenient, in lovely peaceful surroundings. Most amazing, caring hostess, very hands-on. Arranged for a very late (delicious) breakfast after we had to go out for a very early appointment. To fill our day we were given very valuable information about what to do in the area. We were glad that we had the opportunity to stay an extra night. We were made to feel very much at home during a very difficult time for us. Annemarie even called the evening after we left to make sure we had arrived home safely.

South AfricaWe had a little trouble with loud noise from other neighbouring guests that had an effect on our privacy, but the hosts attended to it and sorted out the problem.
The location of the venue is very good. The breakfast was excellent - the chef is super friendly and is excellent with eggs and omelettes. All the personnel are very friendly and helpful. The hosts truly walk the extra mile to keep their guests happy - it is most certainly a passion for them, not a job!

The veiw, their breakfast was amazing. The room had everything. Loved the black out curtains which allowed me to sleep in late. The sitting on my balcony made my mornings amazing. I'm literally planning my next trip.

South AfricaThe rooms are not well insulated. I could hear every word of the guests in the next room and its makes me feel I have to keep adjusting the volume of the tv, or when talking over the phone. Another thing is the shower floor is really slippery, and could use a non slip matt of some sort.
I liked the accessibility to Wellington and Paarl. The location offers great views and is safe for guests. The kitchenette is good, tv with a few channels are available, also if you want to braai there are outside balconies for that. The beds are heaven, I felt so refreshed in the morning, and the lighting is amazing. The staff is amazing, friendly and very outgoing to make sure you are comfortable. Lovely breakfast and the atmosphere is definitely relaxing when looking out on to the pond. Anne is amazing, she really is a peoples person and even gave me sights to see around the area, thank you.
