Beautiful well tended gardens, many birds and bees, little nooks for quiet reading, ambiance of peace , best way to destress after a long flight! Every need attended to, and an excellent tour guide available !

Staff were fantastic - Leigh, Jessie and Shirley - all very kind and great to speak with. The rooms are big and very comfortable. Great attention to detail - everything you could need. The breakfast was very tasty and filling. Great location too - a beautiful neighborhood.

I know that there must be things to improve upon, there always are, and maybe if I had stayed more nights I could have found them. However, in my 2-night stay, there was not one thing I would suggest they do differently.

I did not partake of the meals offered during my stay. I am not much of a breakfast eater and the rusks and coffee provided in the room were enough for me. Every member of the staff that I encountered was so friendly and helpful. The room was warm, inviting and so comfortable. It included a free glass of sherry, which was such a wonderful and unexpected surprise! The grounds are just gorgeous and a wonderful place to sit in the sun to enjoy coffee or tea, or a glass of wine at sunset. It was a lovely walk to 4th Avenue, and just long enough. It was a great stay in a nice quiet neighborhood.

It's not just Leighwood Lodge but in general in Jo'burg, it's not suggested to walk by yourself in many places. Leighwood Lodge looked like is in a residential area and if you want to access the downtown or CBD or any place of interest, or even to go to a restaurant, you need to take an Uber.

Host Leigh is amazing. SHe was wonderful, attentive to all my needs, and went beyond what was needed to suggest places to see, prepare meals and everything. The stuff was great too. Jessie helped a lot with carrying my luggage and helping in other ways.

The room was just very cold and the oil heater didn't help much. The electric blanket did help though!

Everything was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was comfortable, breakfast was delicious. Bottle of sherry in the room was a thoughtful gesture! The place has a welcoming, homey feel.

Leigh and Vee were incredibly welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I felt safe and secure on the property, the breakfasts were delicious and the room was comfortable. I will happily stay at Leighwood Lodge again.

One of the best B&B's in JHB and my first choice. The morning I was there, there was an electricity outage in their road caused by excessive rain and lightning ... and they lent me a towel to go shower and dry my hair at the nearest gym!

Nothing everything was great

The Lodge is very peaceful in a quite safe neighborhood. It’s 15 minutes walk away from the nearby town with malls and restaurants and bars. I loved the setting of self care entry and exits. They served great breakfast. Shirley was so helpful replying the emails messages on both WhatsApp and Booking.com messenger. She helped me in securing my Visa to South Africa. I can’t thank her enough 🙏🙏🙏

The property was incredible! The room was spacious, comfortable, and well decorated. They made me one of the best breakfasts I've had in years. The owner was fun, kind, and gave great recommendations.

The only issue we had is that one time we tried to exit the place through the pedestrian door (not the one used by the cars) and we ended up being locked between 2 gates. We ringed the doorbell and then the door was opened for us to get back in; we suggest to make it more clear to guests not to use this entrance. Minor incident though, we surely would stay here again.

This is a B&B located in a residential area in Joburg. It's very elegant and well maintained, with a pretty garden and a pool (Which we didn't use, not warm enough for us). Check-in was seamless (Important to let them know what time you will arrive) and we quickly got to our room, which was very large and pretty. Bed was comfortable, shower was great, and there was plenty of space. The breakfast is served in the main building (you make your choice of food and time the day before) and was delicious and plentyful. Great option of place to stay in this area of town.
