Excellent location with superb view from the terrace outside our rooms .The host was very friendly and invited us for welcome drinks and was very informative . We found La La Panzi very relaxing and we could do our own thing . Excellent finishes throughout . Really enjoyed staying in beautiful Plettenberg bay .

The only thing I personally did not like was the stairs. We had to struggle to get our big suitcases up to the rooms. But that is all.

The balcony runs across all rooms, so other guests can walk past your room/ bathroom (not very private).

Nice, clean, big room with sea views in the distance. The host was very friendly and has some great stories! He also recommended some good places to eat and things to do which was really helpful.

There are 2 flights of stairs from the car park to the rooms. We were 2 couples all over 70 and there was no-one to help with luggage.

Carrying luggage to our bedroom on the second floor up two flights of stairs without any offer of assistance was disappointing.

Rainer and his wife are excellent hosts. The B&B is very clean, nice and the pool / bar area is perfect for relaxing and getting in contact with other guests or Rainer. In fact Rainer is the best story teller of the world, simply because he has almost seen the whole world during his travels. We even stayed with him at the pool bar until 3 am talking although the plan was only to grab a welcome drink. Thanks so much for the wonderful time we had with you - we simply can highly recommend this place in all manners!

The room was very hot and the aircon didn't work, it made it very uncomfortable to sleep. We were told to use the fan on the aircon unit, but it just circulated hot air. The safe also did not work. The laminated instructions about staining towels and sheets were a little too aggressive and too much. Woman wear makeup and self tan, when you take your makeup off sometimes you don't get it all off and residual make-up will come off on towels as will self tan. If a lady is already wearing self tan when she arrives, what do you expect her to do, drip dry? I also have red dyed hair and when it gets damp (like from sweating when the room is too hot) it does bleed but I have personally never had an issue getting these marks out of my towels and linen by using the right products. This did make me a little paranoid and I bought my own pillow cases to avoid receiving a fine. It is okay to not have white linen and white towels, the world has moved on from these practices and if the hotel is going to be so pedantic about such things they should consider different linen and towel colours. The German windows took getting used to and were a little annoying, in the beginning too.

I twice extended my stay at LaLaPanzi for a total of 8 days from 11th to 19th Oct. Tucked above the hills of a very quiet residential estate, it is a stone throw away the town's centre, restaurants, gas and convenience stores. There is also micro-brewery called Barrington's with a posh outdoor and indoor setting under 10 minutes walk if you choose not to drive. My room was very spacious, always spotlessly clean. Each room enjoys a panoramic view towards the bay. Breakfast was superb and it was something I always look forward to every morning :-) Most importantly, it is always the people who runs a guesthouse that matters. Henrietta / Rainer and especially the housekeeping and kitchen staff trio led by Cleopatra made me so very comfortable daily; from a hearty breakfast to a nicely clean up room each end when I return from my activities. They were all so very friendly and accommodating :-) Thank you everyone for making me feel so homely away from home ! I was frankly sad to leave. Will most definitely come back to LaLa Panzi in my next return trip to P.Bay ! (Eric - Singapore)

The kitchenette appears to be well equiped. But it is not well designed. It has no draining board. It would be helpful to have some storage shelves above the sink/counter. The huge tilt window was difficult to operate. A simple sliding lockable panel would be easier to use.

We were upgraded to a spacious room with a view. Excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Unfortunately there was an issue with the hot water which brought our score down but I feel like this isn't something common for this hotel.

The staff were very kind. Provided us with some special treats for our honeymoon. The pool and views were beautiful and the room was great. I had a migraine and the staff allowed us to check out early.
