The communal kitchen needs an upgrade. The sand on the floor is a big no. There is not enough space in the fridge, and it leaks water onto our food. The walkways to the kitchen are dangerous and uncomfortable. Codes to the gate keep changing, which is good, but they don't tell us. Must hear from other guests. The top bunk bed's board is broken. Luckily, we didn't need to sleep on the top bunk bed. The room curtains are way too small, so privacy was a major issue getting dressed, etc. The curtains don't fit the windows. A small tv would be appreciated. The wifi comes and goes. The communal braai's chimney must get extended as smoke keeps coming into the braai area, causing guests to complain. A children's area/toddler area would be awesome, so mom dad can relax and enjoy a meal with ocean views.

Ocean views, friendly staff and value for money. They lend us a potjie pot to make a potjie. They even lended me tools for when my car had an issue that I could fix myself. New years party was awesome. We are going to rebook. Food was lekke!

Unfortunately there were tons of people which meant many cars and not enough parking. We were parked in the whole night and couldn’t go anywhere

I stayed here for 2 weeks back in October. It was really nice. The employees are really friendly, they take good care of you, they make sure there is always something to do. I wanted to do a day trip during my stay and they fixed everything for me. It was a lot of fun and made many friends during my stay. Highly recommend to stay here when you’re going to South Africa!

The area is not extremely safe so rather not walk around outside of the hostel area

The rooms are clean and the room we had had a great view of the ocean. There's a bar with beer pong and different activities so we had a great time with the locals. The staff were great and treated us well.

Lovely access to the beach. Wonderful, helpful staff. Lots of great information available about Jeffery's Bay Good food and drink for the price at the bar. Lots of table space. Good kitchen equipment, though some labels as to where things are located would be lovely. The burners in the kitchen could use new tops. Safe parking behind a motor gate - high fence. Had a good room with exceptional beach view. Clean and tidy.

The location was not the best, but seemed quiet enough. My mattress was as hard as a rock, and very uncomfortable.

We had an incident at the property but the staff were very good and the problem was resolved. Hence, why we are still giving them a 7 and would recommend to other people to stay there.

I was there for 2 nights. First night I didn't sleep because the owner's son and his girlfriend came in late to party....she got very drunk and was screaming until 4h a.m. Running in the hallway we're all guests were trying to sleep, and laughing, screaming & talking loud near the pool table and bar area. The door was open between so we heard her/them all night. Terrible when no one is there to tell them to quiet down. She/ they are not guests so they should of keep it down or get out of there. Hard for us to get up early to go surfing and enjoy our day when we haven't slept. The second night was perfect & quiet. Everyone was quiet !!!!
