Very comfortable 3 bedroom house with a lovely upstairs loft area, all with en-suite bathrooms (1 being shower, basin only). It has a nice spacious garden and we enjoyed using the firepit in the evening. Overall, it felt very homey.

The welcome treats from the hosts. Nice, spacious garden for the dogs to play in and to sit and relax in when the weather is good. Lovely upstairs loft with nice views and books. We didn't notice/feel loadshedding because of the inverter.

Upstairs has no opening windows. There are large doors either end, but these could only be fully open or closed. Need opening windows or hooks to allow partial opening. With door upstairs open for ventilation, the traffic noise from nearby road is extreme from early in the morning. No ability to curtain/block light into upstairs bedroom in early morning. Between this and the traffic noise, very difficult to sleep in. Also a lot of noise transmitted between downstairs / upstairs so difficult to be private - this due to wooden flooring without ceiling between the levels and open side to mezzanine level. Downstairs bedroom nearest kitchen door latch needs attention.

The cottage is very well appointed and offers lots of accommodation for the rate charged. The availability of en-suite bathrooms plus a guest loo was very welcome. Very nicely decorated and a great homey feel. Excellent communication from hosts. Very comprehensive information provided on all appliances, procedures etc. Location in Onrus convenient for Hermanus and Hemel and Aarde valley. Good wifi, multiple TVs. Well appointed kitchen with microwave and gas hob. Two fridges. Great braai area and braai. Safe parking. Self check in was easy and flexible in terms of arrival time. Cottage has full security system and a laptop safe. Window over vintage bath upstairs allows stargazing or lying in bath in sunshine. Inverter means load shedding is not an issue. Deposit was refunded promptly

The host was very friendly and accommodating. We were able to bring our beloved dog with us. She loved the enclosed garden. It was a beautiful character home filled with lots of art and felt warm and homely. We were spoilt with some lovely surprises when we arrived which was so thoughtful. (We even got treats for our dog❤️) The location was perfect.

This was an excellent stay! The house exceeded our expectations and despite not being in Hermanus, it was only a 10 minute drive to get there. Would highly recommend checking out Mogg's country cookhouse for lunch.

I honestly could not fault this accommodation for anything, it was fully equipped with all our needs and then some. Even the welcome goody bag was filled with lovely goodies.

We were blessed with glorious weather every day, so breakfast was in the garden, with birds chirping, frogs croaking and just being so close to nature was wonderful.

What a beautiful house! From the moment we arrived, it felt like a home, not 'accommodation'. It's a warm home, and a perfect place to relax in winter. We had good weather, so were able to take advantage of the beach and endless km's of beautiful coastal walks. Lindie was an exceptional host. She checked in regularly to see how the holiday was going and how we were doing, she gave us recommendations on places to visit and places to eat, she even checked in to make sure we got home safely after we left! Our two dogs were also welcomed, and had a great time in Onrus. The nice big garden meant that they had lots of space to run around, plus the quiet area meant that going for walks were stress free. We will definitely plan another holiday here, it feels like a home away from home! Thanks for everything, Lindie!

We can't fault anything

This is a Home away from home. Hosts have thought of everything to make us comfortable and one can really relax here. The house is beautifully decorated and colourful and makes you feel happy immediately. The home is well stocked, the host has thought of everything we might need to enjoy our stay. All 3 bedrooms are equally luxurious and we enjoyed a luxurious sleep. The boma and firepit are a perfect end to a good day. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and hope to return with our family.

Can’t get into one of the toilet rooms downstairs as it’s a very tiny area and the door, when opening, hits the toilet and blocks the entrance. This toilet area is very very small. However there are 2 other toilets.

The place is homely and welcoming. We had a great time with my family. Everything was there. Location is perfect, the house itself is beautiful, great decor. There is calming aura within the house, I even slept on my first night - a first for me when traveling. Its perfect for a family!! Big yard for kids to play outside. Host is so thoughtful- games for the whole family and balls for kids to play outside. I really found a home away from home. Thank you Lindie for being a wonderful and accommodating host. And thanks for allowing us to stay longer than the check out time to avoid traffic back. I'm so grateful🥰🥰🥰
