Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

South AfricaFirstly I was told on the day to Pay a R200 fee (that will be refunded back if there were no damages done, after I leave) to get the keys, I would suggest it's best to tell people on the day they booked, to come prepared, not on the day they arrive. "I'm extremely disappointed with my stay at the apartment I booked. The actual interior looked nothing like the pictures they showed, and the amount I paid certainly did not reflect the apartment's actual worth. This feels like a total scam." Plus i still had to run after them to bring someone to clean up the apartment, which it should be something that one doesn't have to remind them.

I called the responsible person several times with no help instead the guy was very rude dropping my calls and eventually not picking my calls at all.

This apartment was well equipped with all the basics you could need on your trip! It had more than what was advertised and the check in experience was effortless! And value for money was definitely the case here!

GermanyI wouldn't even stay here again if I got paid to do it. It all started with the host not sending me the check-in informations on time. After that I didn't get the tag which should come with the key and is necessary to open the doors on each floor and the main entrance. Next up the wifi didn't work and the room was really dirty and smelled like mold and rotten drainage. Definitely the worst experience I had in any stay in the last ten years

United KingdomThe doors of the shower and wardrobes were off the hinges and standing loose . The air vent In the bathroom was constantly blowing filth and bacteria into the shower and was a health hazard . Cockroaches in the bathroom.
Self check in was easy after contacting agency and sending photo of my passport I got a locker code . their office closes at 11.30pm so booking isn’t possible after then
