The royal suite is absolutely beautiful and the private deck and jacuzzi gave us all the privacy we ever wanted on our honeymoon. The entire property is exquisitely finished. Breakfast is superb. And the staff are exceptional.

The bedrooms on the lower floor have the disadvantage of overhearing the noise of the guests having breakfast one floor up, especially as they are moving the chairs around.

The tranquility and beauty of the location and view was complimented by a luxuriously furnished house allowing you to relax and unwind. The hosts Wayne and Dirk were amazing and have a deep knowledge of Knysna to assist with any recommendations for activities or eateries.

What wasn’t there to like! We were greeted with a bottle of wine and a cheese tray when we arrived. The owners Wayne and Dirk could not have been more welcoming and pleasant throughout our entire stay. The breakfasts were amazing and plentiful. Memory and Patty were extremely attentive and always smiling. Our room was well appointed and had everything we could have needed.

Breakfast was exceptional, how every morning they welcome us and asked about our previous day and plans for the day, and recommendations of what to do were just heart-melting. The room was beautiful and clean, welcoming cheese board & fruit was just the cherry on top. Print out info in our room about planned activity, load shedding schedule, and weather, love it. Dirk and the whole staff made us feel at home. The view is to die for, really enjoyed our stay at Alexander Guest Home.

Alexander Guest House is stunning! this is no exaggeration, from the moment you step through the large front door you are greeted warmly and shown through the beautiful lounge area, which also has a koi pond inside, both Wayne and Dirk are fantastic hosts, making you feel very welcome and cook an amazing breakfast! The room itself is large, with a large comfy bed and amazing views, well stocked bar and incredibly clean throughout. I can't recommend this place enough, we will be visiting again.

It had a fantastic view . The whole place was very tastefully decorated including the rooms . The rooms were very comfortable . The breakfast and the service by the staff was excellent . The host Wayne was very warm and hospitable . An excellent experience .

The Property and furniture is a bit dated and cluttered with very bulky curtains. In comparison to some places that we have stayed at over the past year, it was a bit pricey, but the service and care from the host and his staff made up for it.

The location was amazing and the views exceptional. The host and all the staff did not miss a beat, they were incredibly helpful and even made us breakfast packs to take away before our race. The guesthouse was super clean.
