The house is just like the photos. It has a lovely balcony with a view (a small partial sea view too) and each room has its own en suite bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need. I think it was also great value for money. Kobus, that handed us the keys, was super friendly and helpful. Because the house is at the end of a cul de sac, it's super quiet and peaceful.

Nothing with cottage, but not many restaurants stay open later than 7 in the evening.

Lovely cottage, very clean, well decorated, lovely fireplace for the cool evenings, and great views. Easy walking to the small Harbor complex with many restaurants.

This property is a true gem. The location is private and tranquil. The owner has given a lot of attention to detail. The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge, kettle, microwave, gas stove & electric oven, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a gas heater AND a beautiful free standing fireplace for these chilly winter nights, as well as electric blankets in both bedrooms. The towels in the bathrooms are provided and the showers work well. The WiFi signal is strong. The house is spotless and very cosy - a home away from home. If you book in september like us, you are likely to spot the whales in the harbour of Hermanus. Thank you for a wonderful time! We would highly recommend this accommodation and would definitely go back!

Minor inconvenience with a leaking roof due to heavy rains over the weekend, but uncle Kobus came as soon as we called and tried his best to help.

Amazing host, uncle Kobus! The house was very clean, very private, and cozy. Would definitely recommend for any couple looking for a getaway!

Cobus made us feel so welcome on arrival. The cottage had everything we could want for this stay. The fireplace was great to enjoy on the cold blustery day and then getting into bed with an electric blanked. Thank you.

From the photo the view looked as if it was closer to the sea. Steep staircase to enter and exit the house was tricky to navigate in the rain. Cupboards were messy with hosts personal stuff in them. A bit overpriced. Would have been nice to have more lights available when it was load shedding. Showerhead did not give an even spray.

The gas braai did not work properly and we had to fry our meat. Also there were no television stations available. We managed to stream from our own setup, but that was tricky to set up. Booking.com must have charged our credit card in a foreign currency because there was an International transaction charge, and now I cannot get hold of them to complain. Their local (South African) phone number does not work, and if you write them a message you just get an automated reply which it quite useless. It is extremely frustrating, and I will think twice before ever using Booking.com again.

The best part was the balcony - watching the sunsets, also watching birds. We enjoyed having someone meet us (Cobus was great!) to show us were things were and how it all worked.

A load of firewood at the fireplace , would have been nice.

Had all the facilities needed for a comfortable break away stay. Wi Fi, Cable TV, Gas Braai, indoor fire place ,gas heater, all perfect during the cold winters nights. All other facilities in kitchen and each room were in good order. Not extravagant, but very homely. In good weather the balcony was a great spot for a glass of wine at sunset.

Lovely wooden house on stilts with a great view of the sea. We had a wonderful chilled few days and would definitely go back. Cobus was super friendly - he really went out of his way to ensure that we were settled. The bed was really comfortable, shower nice and hot and the kitchen had everything that you needed.

There wasn't battery operate lights for loadshedding there was a candle but was scared to light it being a wooden house

The location was great close to everthing but safe. The caretaker was great very friendly and there if needed. The house had most of homes creature comforts, and the sounds of the waves and bird life was just the bonus

Perhaps a third pot or pan in the kitchen? Otherwise no complaints at all.

Helful and friendly neighbour met us with the keys. The house has lovely views and was spotless. Both bedrooms are en suite, and were ideal for my son and I. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are firm and comfortable. All in all the accommodation was ideal for our two day stay and I would not hestitate to go back.
