Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaAs mentioned, we never ate here so cannot comment on that. Everything else was great :)
We really enjoyed our stay at Tra Que Mansion. Our room was huge with lots of natural sunlight with balconies and windows overlooking the lake and garden which gave a very open yet private atmosphere to the space. A super comfortable bed and great aircon. The gardens are beautiful and the pool is large and clean lined by palms and perfumed creepers. It is such a lovely hotel situated away from crowds being amongst the vegetable plots. We didn't eat at the restaurant so cannot comment on the food, instead we ate mainly at An Bang which is an easy bicycle ride away. Thanks again to the lovely staff Sarah, Mia, Tuc, Sau and Ruby, always very helpful and gracious.

United KingdomOnly downside (personal preference) was the menu for breakfast was set and only had a few options. Would prefer more of a buffet style.
The room was incredible. It was like having your own flat. Very spacious. Lovely view. The swimming pool was just perfect. The whole place was lovely and quiet including the surroundings. Within walking distance of some local food places with own grown food. Really easy to get a Grab if you wanted to go into Hoi An. They offer free bicycle rental. We hired some motorbikes from somewhere else and they tried so hard to help us when we had issues with them. We chose to rent motorbikes with them instead and the bikes were really reliable. Cannot praise this place enough. Would absolutely stay again!

AustraliaBreakfast was a bit average for a supposedly fine dining restaurant. Choice not huge yet every day not all the options were available and portions were disappointing, eg one crushed potato.
Large rooms, nice setting in Tra Que village, good pool area. Some great coffee shops nearby. For a video review of our room, check out here: https://youtu.be/zhFn-OBnPa0?si=4J4xzKUq9YI-Ha6h

Lovely location, quiet, beautiful spot, not far from the beach, worth using the bikes they have. The Center of you an is a little further but very cheap in a taxi using Grab app to get too. Staff really helpful. Room lovely, piece and quiet away from noise of Vietnam. Love Vietnam just nice to have some calm time!

CanadaBreakfast was expensive for the quality. We did enjoy some things from the A la carte menu at Mua one afternoon, the duck was amazing but only had breakfast there once finding better quality and price a short walk away.
Quiet oasis away from the crowds of Hoi An. Tra Que mansion is literally at the end of the road on a gorgeous small lake just past the farms of Tra Que Vegetable village. Enormous quiet room with a comfortable bed, extremely clean. The only sounds were the roosters in the morning! We enjoyed the pool after a day of sightseeing, we used the bicycles to go to the beach in the morning and it was a 10 min taxi ride to Hoi An. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly with hugs goodbye on our last day.

GeorgiaThe kitchen area isn't as good as expected based on overall hotel level. Probably because it is used mostly by staff. But anyway, better to have it than not to have. Bicycles should be maintained better or renewed! Only 1-2 of 10 in more or less good condition.
The room was amazing! Huge area, amazing view from the balcony, 3 side windows, bathtub with the window to the garden! It was super comfy and clean! The bed was superable! Never tried pool, but it looks gorgeous as well. Very quite area, but still convenient to go to the city center or to the beach ☺️ Staff was polite.

United KingdomI wish I’d known earlier how good the restaurant was! I’d have eaten there every night
All the staff were amazing but Sarah Kim was truly exceptional and made every part of my stay a delight from the airport transfer to arranging a diving day and dealing with all my daft queries with a smile. Also the restaurant food is superb- in a different league to anything I found in the nearby beach resort. And the pool provides welcome relief from the heat

GermanyI bought myself a pillow because they were way too thick for me. We checked but they had no others. It is just a minor thing. A desk in the room would be nice but downstairs is a common area where one can work if needed.
Tra Que Mansion is located in beautiful Tra Que village, a tranquil place halfway between town and beach. The property is in good condition, it is clean, and the garden is wonderful. However, the best of the hotel is the staff, I had fun times with the guards, the cleaners, and the receptionist. Attached to the hotel is Mua, one of Hoi An's well known restaurant, serving excellent, fresh and nourishing meals.

Czech RepublicThe room was spacious and really cozy with the view of the lake and a small balcony. The staff was welcoming and ready to help all the time. The place had bikes for rent to go with the beach. The place is great to stay outside of the city center and disconnect completely. To get to the city center from the place it is better to take a bike/motorbike or grab a taxi.

United KingdomThe restaurant is a specialist restaurant, not what we were expecting, hence we did not eat there. Bicycles need some maintenance. Need frosted glass in bathrooms.
Location good for old town Hoi An and a short bicycle ride to the beach. Free use of hotel bicycles. Spacious and clean room. Very friendly and helpful staff. No traffic noise, quiet location.

AustraliaNothing it was amazing
This was the highlight of our month long stay in Vietnam. The staff were beyond wonderful. We loved the local area and it was close to Hoian and An bang beach. Everything was accessible by grab. The pool amazing and the grounds were beautiful and immaculate. We received a room upgrade and ended up extending our stay by 5 days as it was just the most amazing value for the luxury that was provided. We stayed in many hotels during our stay in Vietnam and Tra Que Mansion and the staff were just the very best from the moment we arrived to the time we left. We will be returning here, each and everytime we visit Vietnam. We genuinely felt sad leaving to go to our next hotel. The staff were so helpful and you could not ask for a better experience.

United KingdomThe shower is a wet room. Every time you used the shower it soaked the floor which is to be expected. However it did not dry. Each time you needed to use the toilet you had to use the sliders, provided by the hotel, and roll up your trouser legs. Not a bit issue but a bit annoying as the water didnt drain away as expected.
Peacefulness. Lovely location not far by cycle to the beach or Hoi An town. Staff were very helpful.
