Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe came to Hoi An in low season and had the luxury of having the facilities nearly only for ourselves. Having access to the pool after the day in Hoi An felt great. We liked the quiet location of the hotel, 10 minutes bicycle ride or 40 min walk from Hoi An and 20 min cycle to the An Bang beach. The staff was lovely and helpful, breakfast offered different options every day. All very clean. Relaxing time at the end of our holiday in Vietnam.

NetherlandsMy bathroom had some ants, not a lot, but every time like 5 to 10, and I would get rid of them and the next day they’d be back, I couldn’t figure out where they came from.
It’s a beautiful cozy hotel with modern rooms, a lovely shared space that’s really nicely decorated and lit up in the evenings. The staff is super helpful and kind, especially Tham, she helped me throughout my 4 day stay with whatever I asked for. This is my favourite place that I stayed in in Vietnam.

I highly recommend this homestay! The rooms at the homestay are clean, have a nice hot shower, and have excellent air conditioning. The facilities include a lovely pool overlooking the rice fields and beautiful scenery around you. The location is perfect: nestled on the edge of rice fields, it is easy to access Hoi An's centre. You can use the free bicycles to ride into the centre (15 minutes). The staff were fantastic. They were extremely welcoming and always wanted to chat to see if they could do anything to help. They provided us with information on places we should visit and sorted them out for us to enjoy. While we were here, they organised the lantern-making, cookery class, and Hoi An memories performance, which made our stay much more straightforward. If you want a peaceful getaway, I highly recommend Sunkissed Paddy Villa.

very friendly staff, room was great, pool very nice (although a little warm - but that is the case in Vietnam everywhere), very cheap food/ drinks at the pool, breakfast was nice. easy taxi ride into town ($2aud)

Great location and very friendly, accommodating staff. Walking up to the view over the rice field out outside of the main town so you don’t get the hustle and bustle was great. Also Having the pool was really amazing and nice to see that the locals also book in too.

We had a wonderful stay here. A great edge of countryside location between the beach and the old town. Only a few minutes in the taxi to both or you can use the hotel bikes to cycle. Thắm is fantastic, very helpful, kind and great to talk to. She will organise whatever you need whether it is a good restaurant, taxi, a tour or just general advice. The rooms have comfy beds, air-conditioning and fans and a good sized fridge. The bathrooms also had a nice big shower. The pool is a nice size and perfect for a quick swim. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Thắm

Its really convenient that you can take a free bike to use. The location is perfect between the old town and the beach. I booked a cooking class through hotel, it was super nice, the restaurant cooking location is right at the Coconut village overlooking the coconut boats.

very nice and helpful staff! The hotel is very well located, between the beach and the old city. You can reach both by bike, which are available for free at the hotel. The pool is very enjoyable on the warm days.

AustraliaA little far from town, requires a 50,000D cab fare into town each way, which is massive, but it takes around 20mins. We picked this place partially for the rice paddy views, however, it's a risk you might get mud flats if rice has been harvested, which is what we got :( Still a great stay, but a shame.
Great little hotel, with staff that are happy to provide tours or advice on what to visit in Hoi an. Nice and quiet, with a great pool. Rooms are very nice and well equipped.
