Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesScammer scammer alert !!! If you plan on taking a hotel shuttle or having the hotel, arrange a shuttle to the airport, they will over charge you! Should be around $10 USD to go 3 1/2 miles to the airport. The concierge told me 50 US.

AustraliaThe standard room was a little small and very much a hotel room only, meaning it didn't have a lot of room for us (as a coupel) with all our trvalleing luggage etc. This was fine as we were moving on to larger resorts for our stay, but for this 3 night leg, the room felt small as did the bathroom. While the room has a lot of character, don't expect modern creature comforts of newer hotels. eg. the air conditioner is old and noisy but needs to run to keep you cool. There are tired elements to the hotel overall, but as I mentioned, it's part of the history and character of staying here.
Awesome location for sightseeing adn getting around HCM. Great breakfast and staff were wonderfully accomodating. The hotel is a landmark in HCM and staying there felt like a step back in time.

AustraliaNot so much what we didn’t like but more of what you might like to know. If you’re looking for a modern hotel room this perhaps isn’t the place for you. It’s very old school. Some of the building is in need of repair or updating but that’s also part of its character. The Deluxe standard room was nice but compact and the bathroom was very small. The rooftop bar is a little exe but nice to have one or two drinks later in the evening. The free cocktail on arrival is fixed ie. you don’t have a choice of cocktail.
Beautiful building which is a tourist attraction in itself. It makes you feel like you’re in a different time and you can easily imagine how it would have been the premier hotel property of its era. It has a wonderful history and there are lots of nostalgic photos on all the walls throughout the hotel. Great central location for getting around the city and walking to almost everything on the to-do list. Great staff. Fantastic rooftop bar for a drink in the evening. We had two rooms (one for us and one for the kids). The Rex Suite was quite spacious and had a balcony which provided a lovely view.

United StatesThe upstairs hallway tended to be a bit warm. While the breakfast buffet selection was somewhat limited for a five-star hotel, the food was still delicious. Guests could opt for pho or create their own Bánh mì sandwiches.
The staffs were friendly and helpful. There were various equipment in the gym, perfect for fitness enthusiasts. The rooftop bar, complete with live performances, offered an unforgettable night. Although the food was somewhat pricey, the ambiance, accompanied by light breezes and music, made it well worth the cost. The room was impeccably clean and comfortable, with smoothly functioning AC and toilets. Situated within walking distance of numerous attractions, the location was ideal. I will definitely stay here if I get a chance to visit HCMC again.

United KingdomIt was difficult to get much movement on a late checkout, as I was only offered 1 hr extra even though I had a late evening flight. However, they did allow me to use the swimming and health club facilities to freshen up before the flight.
Excellent location in the centre, and close to all the main shopping, and the main walking street area is just in front of the hotel. Excellent service from well trained staff. Very courteous and friendly, and always waiting to assist.
