Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandBeautifully situated at the quietest part of Ong Long and on a private beach with gorgeous rocky lagoon, safe for swimming, as well as a lovely infinity pool overlooking the beach. Lovely accommodation, range of options and ours was just perfect, handy to the restaurant for beautiful breakfast and near to pool. Beautiful natural plantings and mature forest trees made the resort so special. Marvellous massage spa right on the coast was very special. Excellent restaurant on pier overlooking the sea and sunset. Lovely place to stay. Fabulous staff especially Anna at the pier restaurant. So helpful! Would return again.

AustraliaThe wifi is not secure, forcing you to go to a local cafe to find secure wifi for banking etc. The prices at the hotel restaurant were too high so we only ate there once and rode into the local village each day for lunch and dinner.
This was a brilliant hotel to stay at in Phu Quoc. It is north of the main town on On Long Beach. The resort is about 1.5km from the nearest village, which you get to on free bicycles supplied by the resort. It is located right on a beach with a spectacular view from the amazing pool, especially at sunset. The villa was great and the outdoor bathroom and shower in each villa was awesome. The local village has fantastic restaurants and bars so everything you need is close by.

United StatesI liked every thing.
Quiet resort on a secluded beach. The room was spacious with good air conditioning. Daily service was great. The bathroom is great with a great shower stream with nice pressure, a little bit outdated but still great. The mattress is on the hard side but was comfortable. Pillow (4) in the room are just a regular pillows The hotel staff is courteous and friendly. Special thank you to the front desk: very knowledgeable and super accommodating, always planning ahead. You can order a taxi, a car with a driver, or a moto scooter. Excursions as well. Free breakfast is sufficient and tasty The restaurant is good. Food is tailored to Europeans with local specifics. The restaurant staff is friendly and the service is fast. They were able to accommodate a group of 10 easily.

BelgiumThe food. We had spent 2 weeks travelling Vietnam sampling its tasty cuisine, so the Western airport style of Vietnamese food offering at both the restaurant and buffet very bland and boring. If you are ready to walk (or cycle with the courtesy bikes available to guests) there are some local eateries around which were decent. We broke a glass on the first day and never got replaced by the housekeeping staff, in spite of our repeated requests. In terms of location, and this is no fault of the staff, but I was disappointed by the fact that the sea was full of high and thick brown seaweed, so snorkeling was not great.
Location, location, location... We stayed at a beach front cabin and the view was stunning. The venue is west facing so watching the sunsets was an unforgettable daily treat. The vegetation around the accommodation was beautiful, it really had a paradise feel to it. Deck chairs, poufs and hammocks were provided on the beach that made for a very comfy experience. Nice infinity pool. Staff was very gracious, we got a very warm welcome from yhe receptionist and restaurant staff was particularly attentive.

DenmarkThe only thing that could be improved is food. Breakfast is quite nice, but dinners were quite dissapointing and not enjoyable. We had to wait around 30-40 minutes for the food to realize the food was dissapointing. Since the location is remote, it's quite tricky to go to a good restaurant elsewhere.
The location is perfect if you want to stay away from the busy city and have a peaceful and relaxing stay. The resort is very beautiful and well maintained. The beach front bungallow we stayed, was clean and comfortable. The resort has an amazing pool. The beach is secluded and well kept. Spa services were also great!

GermanyEverything was good!
The hotel is very very nice. There is a very nice swimming pool and also a beach. Beach is quite ok. There are no garbage or smt. ( according to my research many beaches have this problem in Vietnam but this beach wqs clean). Hotel offers you a very calm and relaxing holiday. In a way its a hideout but in 15-20 mins by motorcycle you can be in central area. People working here are super nice and helpful. We are thankful to all people working there! Initially we got there for 4 days and ended up staying 6. If you look for relaxing holiday in a calming environment. This is a great place!

United KingdomNo dislikes but I would say the push bikes were old and in need of maintenance while the gym has no air con and the equipment needs an upgrade. Still did some weights however. The pool table has a challenging wonk to it!!
We liked everything about this hotel. It is peaceful, beautifully laid out, the gardens are extremely well tended, the staff are fantastic and the infinity pool looks out over its pristine beach. It is long enough to do some lengths in if you like toi. The sunsets on the beach are incredible. Breakfast offers every choice while coffee (including Italian for those who find the Robusta Vietnamese coffee too strong), lunch and dinner are served down at the beach at the restaurant. We are vegetarians and there was a adequate choice. However, the nearby town also has several restaurants with vegetarian/vegan options and the hotel will lend you a push bike or rent you a scooter if walking in the heat is not your thing. We also went on a snorkelling trip organised by the hotel and picked up on the beach and the hotel organised our transfer to the airport when we left.

United KingdomFor me it was more the location in relation to night life and the fact that it was very “coupley” Would also have been nice if they had a happy hour…
Properties and resort are beautiful with so much care taken to maintain them. Room was spacious and a fridge available to keep things cool. Location is great wrt to the beach but a little out of the way from any hussle and bussle which as a solo traveller would be nice. Bikes available for free to cycle in to the small town close by which has several restaurants, supermarket and places to have a massage - when you get to the big main road you can get buses in to the main town.

GermanySuch an excellent place to relax and enjoy Phu Quoc! Ressort not too big not too small. We loved the pool and the nice little private beach (and the sunsets!). The staff was extra friendly, especially Thin Thin (?) - so nice! The Ressort is located perfectly on the island. Close to a little village with nice not touristy restaurants. 20 min to the main town by scooter. We hope to come back!

VietnamIn our experience, while the secluded gem we stayed at provided a tranquil sanctuary amid nature's embrace, the breakfast buffet left something to be desired. The options available were notably limited, lacking the variety one might expect from such a picturesque location. We found the selection to be somewhat repetitive, with few choices for those with specific dietary preferences or looking for a broader range of local or international cuisines. This aspect of our stay didn't quite match the overall excellence and immersion into the serene, untouched beauty we encountered elsewhere on the property.
During a recent stay, my wife and I uncovered a secluded gem, perfectly hidden away from the usual tourist spots, offering a unique immersion into nature's untouched beauty. From the moment of our arrival, the wild, inviting landscape captivated us, leading us over a hill and through a dense jungle to a stunning, secluded beach, revealing a slice of paradise. This location proved to be a serene sanctuary, where the cacophony of the world was replaced by the tranquil sounds of nature, offering a profound sense of privacy and tranquility. For those in pursuit of a retreat that combines solitude, natural beauty, and a sense of discovery, this hidden haven delivers an experience that lingers in the memory, a testament to the beauty that awaits off the beaten path.

ItalyBar and restaurant close too early, at 10 pm and there is no beach/swimming pool service. A lot of mosquitos, but it’s normal being in the nature (they sell mosquitos repellent at the reception)
We had a bungalow beach front, wonderful view. We appreciated the silence in all the resort, there was no loud music and all the guests were very polite and almost whispering to each other, very relaxing. Big room, nice bathroom with a wonderful shower!!! Great food at the restaurant and amazing massages at the spa, ladies were very professional Also the swimming pool was very nice

FranceThe photos don't show that most of the bungalows are doubled up in the same building and not free standing, including our top end ocean view room. This is less private than hoped for and it should be made clear on the Booking site. Maintenance is also a problem, with all wood surfaces in the resort badly in need of some high-quality stain and some of the loungers coming apart. A good scrubbing with a Kaercher would also help the concrete and tile areas. The exercise room equipment is rusting, and the pool cues are not serviceable. The resort should also work with the other resorts to clean up the road to the nearby village, where there are shops and restaurants, which is filthy even by low Vietnamese standards. The same goes for the small public beach/forest areas on either side of the resort, one of which leads to a long beach walk but is far too dirty. Visitors should in general be aware that Phu Quoc often resembles a dump with beaches outside of the upscale resorts.
I agree with all the positive reviews. This is really a well laid out magical place. The pool and ocean are great for exercise swimming and since less than half the rooms were occupied during our stay it was very relaxing. The restaurant is right over the water and breezy and the breakfast is ample. I also like the long entry road which is well maintained and woodsy. The staff is excellent and charming.

IndonesiaThe bed is exceedingly hard - just a very firm sponge mattress. It gave me a.bad back. The restaurant is mediocre. Even local.dishes are.not that well done. The quality of the produxe including the meat is good, but the dishes are not well executed. It is not inedible.food, but just not very good especially for that price. I would walk to a restaurant nearby instead. Vietnamese food is lovely, and this is a shame. The service in the restaurant is mediocre too, with some staff with poor English. I knew I had a garden room..it was really a wooden hut. There is no view.at all.from.some of the rooms. Ours was like that.
The beach area is small but lovely. The gardeba are really pretty.. This is a lovely spot. The reception staff are excellent - so helpful and lovely.
