Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporePre informed of request does not help to facilitate a better stay , not organise well on the check in. 1.Provide a room with house keeping still going on 2. Agreed to wait for the room to be ready from house keeping, the next moment was different room.

AustraliaThe room we stayed in had a view over the river and city, but no one told us of the road below has traffic 24/7, that is bumper to bumper traffic and motor cycles moving at snail pace beeping horns and the fumes rising up- yes 4 lanes each way 24/7, interesting watching pedestrians battling traffic to cross road in that section - braver than we were. Also no one told us about the gigantic enormous advertising screen directly across from our window, needless to say curtains had to be fully closed as not to let a slither of light through from the advertising video screen- yes it displays 24/7. One would have thought for a five star hotel someone at the front desk should have mentioned these major draw backs. Hence one does not find out the major draw backs until the night has passed. Then the shine has worn off the old French colonial hotel.
Property had changed since last time we stayed, lovely deco, porter was exceptional service. For a five star hotel check-in experience was below average, there was no explanation of what was available in hotel or about our room. Did not feel personal service.

AustraliaThe aircon is quite old and not fresh air. They should clean it more often or do replacement with new aircons
The customer service is awesome. The first room they assigned to me that was smelly and they proposed to change me the better room immediately without any further charges. The dining in the room was awesome. Foods are amazing and tasty. We had a lovely day there.

AustraliaCheck in was underwhelming, told to sit over in the chairs where there was a welcome drink waiting on the table. Not given a welcome talk or map of the area. We ordered room service and the meal was not very nice at all.
The hotel seems very grand and spectacular when you walk in but after staying in smaller boutique hotels it just lacked personality and that intimate feel. Location was on a very busy corner not that you could hear any noise once inside, still walkable to tourist locations. The rooms were huge but soulless. The pool was situated in the middle which gave a more indoor feel, and it was a little strange to walk through the spa reception to get to it.

BermudaThe pool was much smaller than I expected.
Liked view of river day and night. Loved the sumptuous breakfast buffet and the bar at night. It was very large and you could sit overlooking the river (open air) - high up (forget which floor exactly). The band our night were incredible so we stayed far longer than we were going to. The reception area is gorgeous and all the uniforms of the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff are super stylish. The area is wonderful...a walk away from so many lovely and unique shops and restaurants and bars etc etc. The multitude of motorbikes on the road outside is a spectacle to witness. We loved our stay.

United KingdomIt was quite expensive - room, drinks and food. But the rooftop locations did make up for this.
Good location. Close to local bars and restaurants. Also close to the ferry services along the Saigon River. Great views from the balcony of the river. Two rooftop bars. The M Bar is the better one. Perfect spot to watch the fireworks for the start of the river festival.

AustraliaGreat expectations were disappointed by the fact that the hotel is tired. The bathroom needed revamping and the room offered was basic for 5*. Breakfast average for 5*. River room was noisy. Traffic / Construction. Expensive for Vietnam. Snacks in the bar were average.
Staff are amazing and very helpful. Location superb. Ambience delightful.

AustraliaWe splurged and got a suite here and it wasn’t worth it. The room didn’t match the photos on booking.com and the layout just didn’t work and wasn’t comfortable. The room service and rooftop bar charges are astronomical.
The staff are incredible. Old world luxury service. The rooftop bar has a great view. The location is great for luxury shopping and dining
