Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaThe laundry is very expensive, and so is the non-breakfast restaurant, so we always went to the village to get both. I mean when one main course costs almost as dinner for 2, it's not great. The first good restaurant/cafes are 10 mins by foot which for Vietnam is kinda far, but is still ok. First grocery store is about 15 mins away so as you can see, the place is pretty isolated from outside services. Another relatively big thing for me was that I didn't enjoy the sea too much beyond looking at it. The sunsets are amazing, but the sea wasn't very inviting to swim in this time of the year (June). It depends what you are used to, but I just can't stand trash of any size or shape in the water. This depends on the day as some days I didn't encounter any, and to their credit the hotel staff collects it from the beach every day, but for me this is still a big minus for the whole island that such a nice spot is polluted. Small suggestion but it'd be nice if Happy Hour applied to virgin drinks as well, as not everyone wants to drink alcohol in such a heat.
Ancarine is the kind of place I always wanted to stay in. Stunning sea views, pool by the beach, beautiful accommodation. It's so peaceful there and the trees providing so much shade mattered a lot to me. The beach is very beautiful to look at and it's like from a poster. I enjoyed the breakfast very much and I can only recommend it as one eats directly at the beachfront. The rooms are large and so are the bathrooms, both very tastefully decorated. There are books to borrow at the reception and in every room which adds to the calm atmosphere. All in all the place feels very luxurious despite the reasonable price. The staff is very pleasant and provides a great service. Scooter rental is possible directly at the reception at very reasonable 150k VND. It's important to admit we went there off season so there were only few other guests there, which made the atmosphere very calm. It must be different in high season as there, I think, is not enough space to accommodate all guests at once at the pool and on the beach.

Had the best stay here. Amazing staff who are lovely and attentive. Fantastic location right by the sea with beautiful views. Swimming pool is lush and the rooms are spacious and clean. You feel like your actually living right on the beach. Breakfast was utterly amazing accompanied by the amazing waiters. Was even brought a birthday cake at breakfast by the staff which was a total surprise since we didn’t tell them it was my birthday. Reception staff were the best we have ever interacted with. We rented really nice bikes and scooter and they easily assisted us in booking ferries and transport.

United KingdomNothing important. Could be clearer that the bungalows are semi-detached (unless I didn’t read the description well enough!) and not the best soundproofing between them. Locks between the cabin and the (semi-outdoor) bathroom could have been a bit easier. Wouldn’t put me off going back though!
Amazing location, right on the seashore and only 10 mins walk to the ‘village’ for more choice of restaurants etc. Wonderful staff. At breakfast, when I said I couldn’t eat wheat, the chef cooked me some pancakes from rice flour - they were delicious! It was low season so not many people, which suited us perfectly. The pool is big enough so that kids can play one end and you can still get your lengths (or rather widths) in at the deep end. There’s decent snorkelling right there, too, and free SUPs and snorkelling equipment. A wonderful few days, thank you.

SpainThis place is magical. It is a secluded beach so it is very quiet. There is an infinity pool overlooking the beach with palm trees, just like what you see in post cards. The rooms are actually bungalows, ours was very big with a sizable balcony. It is all placed in the midst of tropical vegetation with lots of flowers. Just so beautiful. Breakfast is tasty and plentiful and the restaurant serves food and drinks all day. They have bicycle that you can take for free if you want to go to the nearby village which has shops and more restaurants (a five minutes ride). Staff was friendly and helpful.

GermanyThe food was very expensive compared to other places in Vietnam and the taste did not match the prices - it was only ok, not great. There is a big gap between the door of the room and the floor, so small animals can constantly get in. I found some small excrements inside the room in front of the door. The window frame also doesn't close completely, so there are some gaps. Fortunately I had no problem with mosquitoes in the room. The air conditioning was leaking.
Very nice atmosphere in the complex of bungalows, wonderful beach with beautiful sunsets, great breakfast with an amazing view. It was a very nice place to relax on the beach.

PolandNothing. We would definitely stay there again.
We loved our stay. The staff was super friendly and professional. The breakfast on the beach with the selection of dishes and products (pho, curry, pancakes, omelette, fruit) was always the highlight of the day for us. The location was perfect for us because we wanted a quitter place far away from the resorts. However, if you want to stay near the city, it's better to choose a different spot. We rented bikes (for free) a few times to go to other restaurants and a cash machine - a good option if you need so, but the hotel is self-sufficient. The beach is fine but there are some stones when you go to the water, so bear it in mind if you travel with children. Still, you can find a few spots without the stones. The pool was great and clean. We also rented a kayak (for free) at the place - recommend it!

IrelandThere’s nothing we didn’t like. Maybe on the first night we would have gone out to the local bars and restaurants if they had been a little closer but we are talking about a short enough walk, maybe 10-15mins - and you can rent bikes and scooters if you want. And after all it’s nicer to be so close to the sea which naturally means it’s a little more secluded.
Everything. We stayed in one of the rooms at the back which was excellent and spacious. The private beach was idyllic and the water clean. Restaurant was comfortable, with reasonable choice. Breakfast very varied. Staff very polite, gave good advice about how to move around the island. On the last day I lost my hat and they talked to each other quickly over the phone and were able to find where I had forgotten it the night before. Thank you :-) Didn’t get a chance to try the spa or the pool.
