Staff was 50/50. Some were extremely helpful but check in staff was not so great. Also one of our rooms was missing the AC remote we called about it everyday and never received one.

Location was really good and rooms were great.

Was terribly upset with our neighbors. They were up all night playing loud music and partying in the room. I even heard something fall and break. We were up all night which made some of our stay there miserable for us older people, I didn't like that.

We liked being up on the hill and looking out at everything. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. We loved our evening bar tender (Michigan). He was a hoot and the food was generous and very good. We also enjoyed hanging out at the pool and relaxing.

Only few employees were friendly and helpful. Others not so much, we didn’t feel much welcomed there. They do apply 20% auto gratuity on everything ,to go or dine in, good service or bad, doesn’t matter. Just keep that in mind.

Location is great. View was amazing. Room was clean, had little kitchenette.

Well everything is great but I think the hotel would get a little more pools supplies just in case people forgotten theirs but other than that it was great!

I think The hotel is a wonderful place to have fun! It’s so clean and fun and I would recommend more people to visit. Love it !

The restaurant was understaffed and I seated myself. They were out of several food items. I had to prompt the waiter for my coffee, serving utensils and check. I never went back for another meal. The sundry shop didn't open on time and closed early. I had to empty our trash in the can at the end of the hall. No recycling available for bottles, cans, or plastics.

The staff was great. The view from my room was sublime and peaceful. The room was very comfortable and great size. It was easy to get to downtown Charlotte Amalie and to beaches.

The young receptionist was unfriendly and she said she would text when our room was ready We happened to check back several hours later the room was ready she just didn’t bother to let us know

The restaurant and bar staff are excellent. The market was somewhat disappointing, the deli counter was good but store items were very limited

the coffee pot was broken, as in the glass carafe itself. the bar staff doesn't deserve tips, which is ironic because it's always automatically added to any check. once you arrive you are stuck there, the hill is so steep you can't walk downtown or anywhere off site.

the lady in the coffee shop is great - coffee was nice. the view is nice - great sunset. if you stay on the second level of a building you will get hot water and water pressure.

Villa staff could be more welcoming and didn't truly orient me on property amenities and rules. Check-in is also at 4 p.m. and check out is at 10 a.m. Based on location, you should rent a car or have a taxi connect. Restaurants within 10/15 minute walking distance but I'm not sure if you want to make the trip up and down the hill multiple times a day. Taxis charge per person.

Villa views were gorgeous. Property is atop a hill.

Using Google Maps to get to the Reception was difficult. They should provide a more detailed explanation of their hotel. Paths around the hotel complex are not the easiest to navigate.

Transport by taxi, even to go a few blocks away was expensive. The Safari buses did not come up the hill. Walking down the hill to catch a safari is a bit dangerous.

Bluebeard sits high on top of a hill. The views were amazing from the two decks past the reservation desk. The staff was courteous and very helpful. I would certainly stay at Bluebeards again.

The photos and description of the rooms is not accurate. They are showing the newer units with a different views and furnishings. I had them change my room as the one they put me in had no water view.

The location is excellent with views of the bays. You can walk to town and supermarkets. Food was good at the restaurant and the little store was convenient.

No longer have a dining room but restaurant in bar was good . There are options to get away from the noise in bar while you eat which was a very good thing . Fire alarm faulty and went off 2 times in early hours . A mix up with my room not being what I booked but they fixed it when I complained .

The restaurant and poolside bar are extremely racist. They add automatic gratuities to your check after making you wait longer than any of the white guests to be served. The worst part is they don’t even tell you that they already put gratuity on the bill. My wife and I asked one of the bartenders “what’s the name of this restaurant?” To which he replied “I don’t know” and walked away. Never been so disrespected and disappointed on vacation ever. To make it even worse the hotel is on a hill that makes walking to nearby places dangerous and difficult.

I loved the views from the bar and the hotel staff are really helpful.

Fire alarm going off late at night and very early morning . I booked a deluxe studio but was given a dark room with no balcony when I complained and showed pictures of what I had booked the staff were great and I then received the room I originally booked . The original response was that booking.com was having a problem

Very good location , comfortable room . Restaurant on site was very convenient. Very casual feel but professionally maintained

It pains me to share the things that I didn't like, but I am a globetrotter, visited 49 countries, and have a travel concierge business; and I would like to direct other travelers to the VI and this hotel. But, certain issues would have to be addressed: (1) The jacuzzi was just as cold as the pool & when asked whether any adjustments could be made, no clear answer was given. (2) There was a plumbing issue in my room, where there was air in the pipes causing the faucet and shower head to shoot outward. The issue became worse when I was unable to get the toilet to flush. I informed the staff at 9am, left for the day, and upon returning later that afternoon, the toilet had still not been serviced. I had to return to the Lobby to reiterate my request. (3) I need pillowcases for the Sleeper Sofa and when I made the request following my initial check in, I was told that they were "already" in the bag in the closet in a dismissive manner. They were NOT and that is why I went down to the lobby to request them. (4) Again, I've been to just about every continent and remote areas of the world, and consider the Caribbean, the place that I'm from to be a top tourist destination, and our hospitality industry must meet that expectation. This includes stepping into the 21st century and ensuring that guests with different dietary needs are accommodated. Finding out that there were NO real vegetarian options for breakfast that included protein, was a problem, and realizing that if one ordered pancakes or some other dish...that it's "all being cooked on the same grill" with the meat. Is a Problem. Separate griils, cleaning between vegetarian/non-vegetarian dishes, having veggies links and other available plant based protein options can make a huge impact on the quality of stay for guests. These are the things that I didn't like & I hope that my suggestions are considered. The hotel is welcomed to reach out.

I'm a Native Virgin Islander and know enough about the history of the hotel, the site it stands, and that is has one of the best Views of the island. Also, great proximity to many shops and attractions in "'Town" .

Some staff were not accomodating especially the front staff working to get you taxis. When we checked-in, I assumed the guy would help us with our luggages to our room, but he just pointed us to the direction of our room. You can also tell some staff might be tired or overworked because they give off “i dont want to work here” vibe. The hotel is nicely located near the town but not near any walkable beaches, you’d have to take a taxi to get to one.

I liked the location nearby restaurants at a mall just across the hotel. The view in the balcony with a swimming pool was great as well. We enjoyed the breakfast too- pancakes & platters were good & the guy who serves you breakfast by the pool is cool. He’s very friendly & personable.
