Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IrelandWe had a hard time with the cards in the elevator and to unlock the doors - I saw other guests having the same issues. One other thing is the noise of the AC. It gave us a few scares, nothing major but a bit annoying.
Modern, comfortable and really well located. Honestly, one of the coolest places I've ever stayed on. The room is small, but very comfy and high tech - which I liked. The view is great and the rain shower is amazing. I was ready to move in! Deck 12 (rooftop bar) has gorgeous views and the food was really good (got the short rib sandwich, both me and my husband liked very much).

United StatesIce machine on 9th floor wasn’t making ice. Roof top deck was through the bar/restaurant so we not sure if you could hang out there without eating at the restaurant.
Location is walkable to downtown and transit stop is next door. Towel warmers in the bathroom are a nice touch.

United StatesA coffee maker and a mini fridge in the room would have been nice. Also, there were 3 shampoo bottles, 2 in the shower and 1 used as hand soap at the sink. Two bottles smelled like they had gone off. 1 in the shower smelled pretty nice but the other 2 smelled different and were so bad I went and bought my own soap.
The bed and pillows were amazing.

United StatesRoom was a little cramped, but since we weren't spending much time in the room (aside from sleeping and showering), this ended up not being too much of an issue. The lack of privacy in the bathroom (curtain, no door) was unfortunate, but we made it work. Main lighting in the bedroom would have been nice, as opposed to only the LED lights and bed-lamps.
The location of this hotel combined with the price is why I chose YOTEL. It's proximity to the core of Boston was perfect for my stay, and it's location right next to public transportation was incredibly convenient. Staff was friendly and answered any questions I had.

NetherlandsThe layout and the size of the room. You had to (electricly) fold out the bed. This seems like a ‘gaget’ but is because the room is so small that you can hardly walk around the bed. What I also didn’t like was the enormous price. Why so expensive? One night was 291 dollars! There wasn’t even a coffee machine in the room and you had to check yourself in (the staff that was there was very nice). This hotel (and hotels in Boston overall) are way overpriced in my opinion.
The location was very nice, in the harbour. The staff was nice.
