Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThere was no remote to the television. I went to ask for one and the evening clerk or front desk worker gave me one, but it did not work. When I went back to tell him that the remote he gave me was not working and asked him if he could help, he said he did not know what to do and that he did not have any instructions on how to program TV. He did not offer to give another remote or to assist with the problem I was having. When I asked if he he could move us to another room with a television that worked, the clerk said , reservation were all full. In the morning, when we checked out, there was a new clerk and he said the remote I had, that was given to me, was a universal remote for the TV. Apparently, the night clerk gave us a universal remote to the TV instead of the cable remote. It appear, your clerk did not know and was not knowledgeable of the cable system and things that needed to do when there is a problem. He should have known to give me the correct remote or offer help. Clerk needed to know what to do, when things happen at your property. In addition, I asked for a queen size and I was given a full side bed. My wife is disable and we asked for the first floor and a queen bed. In addition, there was no coffee maker, no iron in the room, cups,etc. any kitchen materials to utilize.
The apartment was clean.

The phone did not work and part of the blinds was broken. Thank God I was on a higher floor or anyone could've walked passed and seen inside.

United StatesThe location was terrible. One exit door was completely sealed off, there other was supposed to lock and was broken. There was no cups, coffee maker, hair dryer or shampoo and conditioner and ice bucket in the room. The bed was really hard and uncomfortable. The handicap shower head doesn't come down and the seat is awkward so you can only get part of yourself wet.
