The only real downside to this hotel was the location (which would be a bonus for some other people). The location made parking very difficult and you had to use the valet. The location was also very touristy, so all the food options were either bad or had ridiculous wait times (not the hotels fault)

Breakfast was just okay but it was also free. The staff were very friendly and super helpful. We loved the free beach rentals and used them every day (chairs, towels, boogy boards). The staff also gave some really good recommendations based on the types of food we were looking for.

- The air conditioning in the room above us always made a bit of noise in our window. - Instead of using sofas, use some extra tables. There was no room for breakfast. - Double check the security box, something it did not work well.

Great location, Cleanliness, Staff always friendly, Beach stuff (Umbrella, Towels and Chairs), Support of your questions in the front desk. Valet parking excellent service, hydration points really useful. The restaurant in the corner (poke bowl) fantastic.

This hotel offers good value for money and a privileged location in the heart of Waikiki. Rooms are standard and have everything you need, even bathrobes. The hotel comes with some nice perks like a healthy breakfast with plenty of options, filtered water and free coffee all day long, and free-of-charge beach amenities (chairs, umbrellas, mats, toys for kids, etc.). The beach is just two blocks away, and public buses to the airport and Ala Moana (transfer to Kailua/Lanikai beach - a must go!) stop next door. Even the Diamond Head hike is within walking distance. The lack of a pool was not a deal breaker - let's be sincere, you don't travel all the way to Hawaii to lie down at the pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all, this was the right choice for our vacation in Hawaii.

It would have been nice to have a balcony and access to a pool, but we understood those wouldn’t be available given the boutique nature of the Vive.

The location was great - only two blocks from Waikiki Beach and various restaurants, shopping, and convenience stores. The breakfast was adequate, with a good selection of fruit, breads, and proteins. I definitely took advantage of the always-available hot coffee throughout the day!

Bedrooms could be a bit more applicable as were bit smokey smell when walked into the room. Carpets should be replaced.

There could be more provision of hot breakfast for vegans otherwise 24hr coffee services was great.

They don't clean the rooms well - very lazy. Bathrooms weren't clean had to notify reception before they were cleaned properly. The hold on your credit card takes forever to release. Quite stupid, should be faster or dont take a deposit. Very inconvenient.

Breakfast was great but it was a little bit crowded every morning. Also, they only serve breakfast at 7am so if you had a trip planned for early morning, you couldn’t eat breakfast.

Great location, great staff, great breakfast! We had such a lovely time at VIVE Hotel. You could use beach towels, chairs and umbrellas for free!! Valet parking was great!

Minus they gave only very small refrigerator and no microwave inside the room and ac is the old style that made noise.

This hotel is cheaper than others, only 5min walks to waikiki beach. They provide breakfast, water refill, beach gear (umbrella, tote bag, cooler bag, beach chair, swimming board, beach towel, etc), coffee and tea 24 hr. ❤️ staffs are nice. Especially that helping with the valet parking.

The room had a musty smell, and we could never get a beach umbrella, even when we checked at 6 a.m All the umbrellas were gone. When we checked in on Tuesday, all the common area carpets were very clean.By the time we checked out on Saturday, most common area carpets were looking dirty (i.e., none of the hallways, elevators, or rugs looked as if they had been vacuumed in days.

Breakfast was great, room was very comfortable and I can't say enough about how fantastic the customer service was.
