Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe bathroom shower head would not stay up so, I was force to take a bird bath. I also was charged another $24.61 on the card I had on hold, after I cashed out with my debit card. I called to see why and Frankie tried her best to resolve the issue but she was not able to do so and she had to forward it to Shawn who is her manager. I am now waiting for this charge to be removed
The shower did not work properly and housekeeping was aware of it and did not report it.

United StatesThere was only one negative experience. The morning I checked out, there was a $170 restaurant charge from the night before. Neither myself nor my roommates had eaten there. The receptionist showed me the receipt, which had my name handwritten on it. At first that creeped me out, thinking the person who ate there had actually gotten our names and info. (Later we realized it was probably the server who wrote that, just matching the name to the room that the person eating there had charged it to.) At first the receptionist would not remove the charge because it was a large amount that would require a manager, who wasn't there, but fortunately she did remove it. I understand her point of view, but it wasn't our fault either. I'd like to request they require proof before charging something to someone's room. It made us all a little nervous after this. Other than this, the room itself was exceptionally nice.
The hotel was pretty, clean, and the receptionist who checked me in was very friendly and helpful.
