I expected the hotel to be subpar based on other reviews but some were good enough so we thought we would risk it for the cost and location. We booked a family room and were “upgraded” to a bigger one but it had seriously seen better days. Every piece of furniture was chipped and/or stained and there is no way you would have felt safe to put someone in the top bunk. The shower took forever to warm up, no ventilation in the bathroom and the pressure was poor. There is no ambient lighting in the room. It looked as though the lights near the bed had been deliberately disconnected. The lifts took forever, and people overfilled them as a result. This didn’t feel safe, and they felt very jerky.

The location is really good, a 5 minute walk from Times Square and plenty of subway stations around. Staff on reception were pleasant and the cleaning staff were super helpful. Room was large, particularly for NY.

We were on the 6th floor, one elevator was out of operation on Saturday night. Sunday at checkout the other elevator was being used by the cleaning staff. All through the night there were doors slamming, which I understand is outside of the hotels control. I am not sure if there is a nightclub in the same building but you can hear the beat of music until around 3am. The shower head sits at about 4.5 feet, it is adjustable from about 2 feet. Showering as a 6 foot person was interesting, especially when the shower curtain rod fell off.

Noisy ventilation unit in the room that could not be turned off, could be regulated slightly with the thermostat. I’m not one to complain, but this thing was so loud we couldn’t sleep.

Room is very small. The pictures are misleading as they show the larger rooms but this is not necessarily the room size you will get. Bathroom is tiny and everything will get wet when showering.

HOT!!! The ac doesn't work. It just makes noise. And it feels that way everywhere in the hotel, not just the room. The window was slightly open and i couldn't close it. So I feel like that helps add to the noise in the room. If they could fix the air in that place, I would definitely go back though.

The hotel looked really nice and was a short walk to Hamilton, which is why I was there. It was mostly clean also. The staff were great and very helpful.

The hotel could use a bit of an upgrade. It is a bit older and could use a fix up. The rooms are a bit damaged. So the whole place could use a makeover.

Not as pictures show. Elevator extremely slow, takes 15-20 minutes every time. Bathroom is really small and makes everything wet, bad designed.

We booked because it had a gym. The gym was out of order. The lifts were dodgy. Had to use the stairs. We had to reset our room key 6 times. Cleanliness of room was average. No kettle. No fridge. Dusty. Needs a major upgrade. Windows filthy. Lights over bed not working. Wasn’t a cheap place to stay. But it should have been given the poor standard of room etc. The best part was the restaurant downstairs attached to the gallivant excellent food and service

The fact that the AC wall unit was turned off when we entered the room & of course it was stuffy ,aswell as the bathroom door was broken so it couldn’t close because it the wood was swollen aswell as the fact that there was 2 large cockroaches in the bathroom

The toilet door wouldn’t shut, the shower handle was broken. The hot drink option was only coffee - so no tea and no kettle to boil the water. The lift would at least waste 10pms each time you had to use it.
