Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesStaff not attentive when checking in, he acted like he didn’t know what he was doing. When I checked out the different clerk, was on the phone and s couple of people were waiting to check out! I believe customers in front of you should be attended to not someone on the phone! When I checked out ask is there a receipt, oh he said it was sent to your email! Ok…. Well when I got the email, that hotel charged me $10.00 extra for parking!! I am furious….I put the little sign in my window as they ask me too! When I booked this room total charge was $131.00; rounded off!! But I was charged $141.13; I would have disputed the charge but didn’t know as no receipt! This is not acceptable! I am 76 yrs old and on a fixed income!! So why and how can they charge for parking ??????

United StatesI used booking.com to book the room. They said no money was to be taken until we stay at the hotel, then they took the money that day (a week before we to get there), at almost twice the rate quoted. (5 days stay for just under $600 but charged me almost $1K. The money was returned to me, but I had to wait for that money to be returned in, "a few days," when it shouldn't have been taken at all. The rug in the room was filthy. I could not walk in the room without shoes. Floor was sticky and dirty. My white socks turned black on the bottom due to the rug being so disgusting.
Breakfast was pretty good. Fair selection. The staff was friendly. I didn't use the pool but it looked clean and well kept. The room was mostly clean (See below) I am retired, walk with a cane and have a service animal. The staff didn't blink an eye when I bought my 90 pound English golden retriever in the door. I am usually given a bad time at hotels due to Gunnar. I was pleasantly surprised when they appeared to see him as just another customer. Thank You for that!

United StatesI booked for a 2 bedroom suite when I made the reservation online a month prior. We arrived at 7:30pm and was told there was no more 2 bedroom suite available. The front desk staff gave us a 2 queen bed room with a kitchen for a lower rate. No choice but to take it. Would've preferred a 2-bedroom suite.

HaitiMy bill after only staying 4 nights was $1610, about $400 a night which is ridiculous. Originally I was supposed to be there for 10 days but had to check out early. The price I was giving on booking.com for the room was not matching up with what they charged me. I also didn’t like the fact that we didn’t get any cleaning service while we were there and I requested it with one of the cleaning personnel and they stated they only clean after a person checks out, which again is ridiculous. After telling her that I would be there for 10 days she said they would come the following day to give me cleaning services to which they never did. Won’t be staying here again. It’s way to overpriced and has hidden fees.
Breakfast was good and location as well.
