Great location in a beautiful street lined with trees, coffee shops, boutique shops and the best ice cream shop I've ever been to. At the end of the street there was a beautiful park too.

Would have liked better in room amenities, the espresso machine is good, but some tea would have been nice, however I asked at reception and got some teabags. A magnifying mirror in the bathroom would also be handy.

Excellent location, lovely staff, great room with very comfortable bed. Enjoyed the food in the restaurant, also very nice wine.

The location is what makes this hotel exceptional. You couldn't be closer to the entrance of the walking trail along the Charles River Esplanade or closer to the Red Line T stop! And right outside the door is Beacon Hill, which is so incredible charming. Also loved the later checkout (standard checkout is 12pm). There's also a restaurant in the lobby with a beautiful courtyard. I sat out there and read with a glass of wine one night and it was lovely!

There was no option for milk or hot chocolate for breakfast. Just coffee or tea, which a lot of people like, but not everyone.

The location was great, the hotel was wonderfully scented and beautifully decorated. The rooms were very comfortable, with excellent beds and bathrooms. The reception staff, without exception, were very kind and helpful.

There was very little we didn’t like, except for the food smell that greeted us everytime we entered the reception, this was due to the integration of the restaurant into the main lobby/reception/ground floor of the hotel. Maybe a better extraction system could be installed?

This is a beautiful stylish boutique hotel in Beacon Hill, Charles Street. Beautiful location and it felt very special following its expandation and renovation of the previous John Jefferies House. It was very comfortable and the attention to detail in the rooms, was very nice. There is an outside courtyard, whilst it was small, it was a bit of a haven in the city!

My husband and I each had a glass of wine at the bar. We both chose wines from the Loire Valley. I didn't think either the red or white met the expectations of that region of France.

The room was very clean and quiet. The lobby smelled wonderful. The bed was very comfortable. The toiletries were really nice. The location was perfect for this trip.

Bathroom window not frosted or having a screen therefore needed to pull down the blind to use as it looked directly out on to busy traffic junction. In room dining limited choice. No fridge in room.
