The room is a bit dusty and the floor is not that clean. Not a big fan of the industrial style as the brick just collects dust.

The LOCAL NY is very close to the subway station (about a 3-4 minute walk) and easy to get to Manhattan. Bathrooms were clean and spacious. The staff was helpful and we were able to leave our luggage at the front desk before checking in and after checking out.

Mattress was a bit small, unsupportive, and loud tbh. There were some old occupants items there that were clearly left. Shower room was tight but the issue was that the shower curtain could not close well enough to not soack the entirety of the room for which there is not drain so it just pools in the room for when you get out of the shower. I'm not sure a solution for that, but it was kinda annoying. Maybe get a bath mat of some sort and make sure to change it out every once in a while with the towels and beds.

I think because I stayed during the week it was much more calmer and older environment with less people in our room, which I enjoyed. On Thursday, when I left, it started to fill up more with a younger crowd. Really cool and comfortble main sitting areas including a full service bar by nigh and small cafe by day, large tv and movie watching area with comfortbale couches, desk area in case you need to work during you stay, and finally a really cool rooftap area with a lot of space and good views of the city. I actually really enjoyed the location. Although we were not in Manhattan we were so close to it the entire time and could get anywhere with the subway. Plenty close enough to the East River. Subway Stop just 3 minute walk from the front door. Neighborhood was ehh because of all the mechanics but a bit further down there was a cool park area with good food and drink options right there. Again we didnt have too many roomates in a 6 person dorm, but the people we did get to meet were cool.

The people at the counter weren't too friendly, or maybe that's just the New York thing.

Good clean stay, near the metro. Has a shared kitchen, rooftop lounge and indoor lounge area - common spaces are generally comfortable.

Not much things to do - good for the short stay. Also, my bed was right in front of Air condition, therefore, I felt a lot of cold during the night. Hotel management needs to place the bed in such a way that it should not be in front of the Air Condition.

The location is excellent - just 6 minutes of walk from the nearest metro station. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful.

It would be better if there's a curtain for each bed, so when I turn the light on, it won't bother my roommates, and it would provide more privacy. The bathroom floor was flooding all the time so be careful don't drop your clothes on the floor.

The room is decent, I like that there's a private bathroom and there's a door to the bedroom. So I could shower late at night and won't wake up my roommates. The storage is big enough for a suitcase, which is very helpful. You can leave your luggage at reception before check-in and after check-out. The staff was very friendly and helpful. He even helped me get the luggage upstairs. The view from the rooftop is superb.

It looks like they took an extra bed and jammed it into the room to increase their capacity as my bed wasn’t numbered and didn’t have a locker.

Cool place, nice vibe. Didn’t get to hang out in the common areas but they looked nice and inviting.

The Rooms could be better. Bathroom should have AT LEAST ONE SHELF to lean your shampoos and necessaries! It won't cost them that much! AIR CONDITION TOOOOO LOW, we were almost frozen!

The neighborhood felt remote, the bunk beds are not the sturdy kind.

Great kitchen , close to public transportation, nice staff, outlet and night-light by your bed. Overall a great option depending on what you are looking for.

Very minor things which would make the place much more comfortable * there could be a personal space over the bed and a shelf to put your phone on while you charge it. * also having a shelf in the shower would be a good thing. * clearer zone splitting where you can eat and where you can't.

Good atmosphere, clean and spacious place, roof terrace offering a nice view of central Manhattan highest buildings. Plus the own quiet bar serving coffees and draft beers. Also really close to local bars where Queens’ youngs meet

Walls are incredibly thin so all the noise from other rooms, hallway, social areas and even outside comes through. If you’re tired enough, it won’t disturb your sleep.

Staff was friendly and helpful, gave lots of local recommendations. We stayed in private room with its own bathroom and everything was perfectly clean. There was one coffee/drink complimentary with the room key slip. Kitchen space could be utilized as required and many board games in social areas around the reception. They also organize various events, definitely should check out if you’re staying in for the day. Location was good, metro station was some 10 min walking distance.

The only thing that was a bit of a trouble is that they dont have elevator, so I have to carry my bags 2 floors. It was my bad for not checking beforehand.

The room was soo hot even after putting on the A/C. I was in the upper bunk and I was sweating until morning.

The staff's behaviour and the accommodation. They were really welcoming and friendly. They were ready to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Will definitely come back next time!

There is no furniture or space in the room to put your belongings on - no shelves or hooks, if you have a top bunk prepare to climb high with your phone or other bits and bobs. The street outside is noisy so we slept with our windows shut. The bathroom and shower are tiny which is fine for a slim person. The shower is literally less than a meter square, the sink is teeny-weeny too. The surfaces in the communal areas are sticky. I mean some bits around the hostel could do with a bit of TLC but overall it’s ok and a good base in NYC.

Location - very close to the subway station. The street itself is a bit dodgy but that’s nothing to do with the hostel. The views from the roof are amazing. Everything was as they described in the listing. Comfortable beds, shower/toilet in the room, good bedding. The kitchen is very good too. Plenty of communal areas and a nice bar downstairs.

The amenities were messy but that would be attributed to the guests and there were people working to clean the spaces frequently.

The staff are super lovely and helpful! Was a very easy process of check in/check out. Wifi is great throughout the building and everyone there are friendly ☺️
