Gym could be better equipped. Bathrooms should be refurbished. It is a very nice place and very friendly staff. However, it is a bit overpriced, especially for simple things like food and beverages, or breakfast.

Overall it was a lovely and incredibly restful. The room was well equipped and spacious. The spa was peaceful and enjoyable. The restaurant menu was very enjoyable. We used the bikes and played tennis which were both a nice addition. We would definitely return. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

The restaurant is fine dining ( expensive and too much) and the bar serves bar food which is fine however this hotel would really benefit from a bistro style eatery

The location is superb - a beautiful waterside hotel where you can totally relax. Loved the views, the sailing and the surrounding area is absolutely stunning

We did not sleep well. It was noisy in the hallway until 3AM. People were talking loudly and we could hear the neighbors snoring…

The shower enclosure needs to be a little wider. There was no way to prevent water from getting on the floor.

The garden view room was fabulous, very comfortable, and well decorated. The staff was amazing, very attentive to the guests and very welcoming.

Bathroom doesn’t have adequate shelving-towel rack could be moved to accommodate a glass shelf for a guest to set personal items.

Staff was nice but while they acted like they would do anything for you that wasn’t really true if they made a mistake in any way. They were good at apologizing for any error but never did anything to compensate or do something special.

They claimed they upgraded our room (which we didn’t ask for) but it appeared they just moved us to accommodate another guest . Our room was in one of the further buildings with virtually little view of the water. They were preparing for a wedding during our entire stay which was loud and imposing. Had they told us we would have changed our plans. Their solution was to send a cheap bottle of wine to our room. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and it was rather disappointing for such a high ticket property.

Having stayed in high-end lodgings before, this one did not compare. It seems it gets off on its name and location now and does not put the extra touches that are expected of an inn like this. Breakfast was poorly done; staff was 50-50 on professionalism; amenities were lacking for the price of the hotel; lovely spot -- but should be priced 1/3 less than it is. The experience does not get close to meeting the value you pay.

Too expensive for the amenities offered. Also the service in the bar and pub was slow and inefficient. Choose not to eat a casual meal there. Also thought the bar drink menu had little to offer and the drinks were at best average. Drinks at a couple of places in town were much better.
