Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesFor those driving to Glacier National Park, Choteau is good stop. We veered west to Helena. In the hindside would have probably skipped visiting Choteau in favor of going further west to Missoula.
Lovely room in a historic house on a quiet side street. Great shower in the bathroom. Comfortable bed. Very friendly, accommodating and helpful hosts. Tasty breakfast. Perfect for a night stay when passing through Chateau

United StatesBob and Sarah welcomed us, made sure we felt at home, and helped us plan our stay in Choteau. We enjoyed chatting over wonderful breakfasts that Sarah prepared, and it was so easy to navigate events in town from our base. Our room was spacious and gracious - it was amazing to stay in the historic Coffee House!

The location and breakfast was excellent. The house was clean and bathroom was spotless. The bedroom was very nice and comfortable bed. Bob and Sara were so kind and helpful, we really enjoyed the conversations we had with them. Bob was outside to greet us when we arrived later in the day. Not wanting to waste the few hours we had left in the day Bob recommended an ice cream place very close by that had huckleberry ice cream and also where to go to see some mountains. We were driving towards Glacier National Park from the east so this was our first mountain views! This was the perfect place to stay and we would definitely come back again! Highly recommended! Their dog, Whalen, was a bonus. We really enjoyed him, especially my 5 year old. Bob and Sara, thank you for your hospitality! 5 stars

United StatesEverything was absolutely perfect! The home is as it was, therefore, the bathroom is across the hall, but that was ok for us because we were the only guests on that level of the home. The kind host saw to it that we had our privacy. We loved our stay here.
Spacious room, vintage decorations, historic property, quaint town, very clean, all needs provided, very gracious host.

United StatesWe can’t think of even one thing we didn’t like or would have liked changed.
The location of this bed and breakfast was very easy to find. The house is very clean and well kept inside and out. Breakfast was great with bacon, scrabbled eggs, toast and beverages of our choice. The host couple were very hospitable and we felt right at ease with them. We will gladly recommend this place to any family and friends that might be traveling in the area.

United StatesIt's an older house so there weren't a lot of plugins. It wasn't an issue for us but if you're a tech person and need to charge multiple devices at once that might prove tricky.
Bob and Sara were very welcoming and treated us like we were visiting family. They were very accommodating on our arrival time and checkout, and breakfast was delicious. Their cat, bits, is super sweet and their dog was eager for love and attention. This is a fantastic place for a couple or solo traveler. The room we stayed in was fairly small, which wasn't an issue for us in the least but if someone wanted to set up, say, a pack n play, it'd be difficult. I don't know about the other rooms and their space, but they are really friendly people so if you have questions I'm sure you could reach out and they'd let you know what's possible.

United StatesThe bedroom windows didn't have screens, so unfortunately a few bugs flew in when we cracked the window due to it being warm in the room. A very small drawback in an overall exceptional stay!
Sara and Bob were super kind, flexible, and responsive. It felt like staying at a friend's home! We arrived relatively late, parked on the street right outside the house, and Bob came out to greet us and offered to help with our luggage. The bedroom was warm and cozy with a TV fully equipped with all the major streaming services and lots of cozy pillows. The bathroom had a beautiful original claw foot tub with shower as well as plenty of fluffy towels, lotions, body washes, shaving creams, etc. The following morning Sara made a lovely breakfast of bacon, scrambled eggs, and toast with homemade fruit jams including a delicious chokecherry jam. We liked it so much that she gave us a jar to take home!!! They also had a very sweet dog and cat- the dog walked underfoot a bit before Bob sent him outside and the cat was kept in a separate room. Both beautiful pets and not a bother at all! Everything was spotlessly clean, they clearly take a lot of care maintaining this home. It's such a gem of a place to stay, whether Choteau is your destination or a stop along the way from Glacier to Bozeman like it was for us. I would love to come and stay again, and will for sure be recommending it to anyone traveling to this area!
