I booked a Junior Suite but upon check in I was told “somehow” it showed I had a King with a sofa bed. I was offered the King bed with a sofa bed several times first from Lia and then by Ms. Caneza (supervisor) because the Junior Suite wasn’t available. After being asked to take a seat (meaning away from the check in desk) I was given the keys to the Junior Suite. I suspect perhaps they had other plans for the Junior Suite that I had booked.

Great location. A short walk to DuPont Circle and Adams Morgan in the other direction. Front desk staff member Hezekiah was exceptional. If you need anything I’d suggest speaking to him. If you get a chance to stop by the bar, Richard (bartender) is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

The first day, some large pump close to my room was running and causing a notable vibration that I called the front desk about. It stopped sometime in the evening. If it had not stopped, I would have needed a different room. - There should have been a warning sign about the body wash. It irritated my eyes and ears. I should have used he face soap on the sink.🤔 - There should have been an explicit explanation about parking. I was not prepared. 😠 - The gym did not have a thermostat. Windows were propped up by barbells. It was warm and very humid in the mornings. 😠 - The bathroom was not ventilated well enough so the entire room was humid after a shower. 🙁 - There was was black moist powder on the fins of the main vent. It may have been mold. 🤔 The Wifi did not work properly. I had to go downstairs and luckily one of the parking attendants called someone who gave me access to another network that worked properly. What a PITA! The beds were not very comfortable. Perhaps too soft of a top cover.

Price and location were great for a convention I was attending across the street.

There seems to be this holding fee even after you pay for your room, on this occasion it was $250, which is later paid back to you. This hotel paid it back within a week but I’m still waiting 2 weeks for other hotels. Generally, this is unnecessary, especially in this era of instant payments. The only other thing was, the restaurant wasn’t open on a few of the nights we were there, which might have allowed us to just stay in the hotel the first night we arrived.

Short walk from Dupont metro which gives easy access to DC. The room was clean, comfortable and bright. The Dupont area is lively and has lots of restaurants and outdoor activities, like markets, especially at the weekend.

    Not enough electrical outlets

We had a lovely time in DC. Location was great. Loading and unloading was tricky when we arrived or ordered rides. Booked a room with a sofa or cot but they no longer have rooms with sofas and cots are not allowed. Was not informed of $190 hold when we checked in and the charge did not appear as the hotel name so we shut down our card which caused trouble throughout our vacation.

Next time maybe one floor up? a little noisy ,but that is a city. And i booked a parking space but when I arrived it was full. Found it next door, but if I make a reservation I expect to be there for me.. just saying.

The location was perfect to reach all our point of interest. The bed was the best, really really comfortable.

Not all rooms are the same. We had to ask to switch our first room as it had some issues: a broken closet door, a non-operational safe, no desk or chair, and no Wi-Fi within the room. The second room was slightly bigger but too has shown signs of wear and tear like cracked and peeling selling, worn-out carpet. The valet parking charge is too expensive. There is no security scan of the room key in the elevator or stairs. Anyone can get to room floors.

Good location in walking distance from the restaurants around Dupont Circle, the Zoo, and Metro stations. The hotel has valet parking, and free coffee in the morning. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

We had breakfast at the Chartwell. There was only one wait staff and the service wasn’t great and food very basic for the price. They ran out of ketchup. I also wish there was a shower mat, the shower floor was slippery.

Proximity to metro. The staff were very friendly. The rooms are pretty and very well appointed. I loved the coffee and the water in the lobby. I wish the coffee could remain out a bit longer, like until 11:00 am or noon.

The room would have been much more comfortable w/ a few comfy chairs and a "coffee" table. We used the couch for our suitcases because there weren't any suitcase racks in the room. Having to sit on the bed while watching TV or reading wasn't the most comfortable.

Room was very clean; bed was very comfortable; except for the emergency vehicles on the street, the room was quiet.

Parking is expensive ($60/night) and is strictly valet. You don't know where they park your car and they have the keys so you need to call anytime you want to take the car out or retrieve something from the car. However the valets were always available and were quick to take/retrieve the car. There is no available street parking without a sticker and I did not see any convenient public pay lots.

Great location between Adams Morgan and Dupont Circle. Easy to walk anywhere in either of those neighborhoods. Bus comes right down Connecticut Ave past hotel to take you downtown. Metro at Dupont maybe 0.5miles away at most. 9th floor very quiet. Décor was much nicer than depicted on websites. Comfortable beds and pillows. Good bathroom setup. Free bottled water. Staff pleasant and helpful. Free coffee (which was quite good) and flavored water in lobby. We went to several excellent restaurants, usually on foot or by ride service.

Waited for service at Chartwell Grill. Came to the restaurant on Friday and there was ONE staff attending to the bar and kitchen. Waited over 20mins for drinks. On Saturday and Sunday the restaurant was closed. They should have mentioned that upon check-in so I don't waste time going down there and the place is closed. Honestly the food wasn't worth the cost. Beside this, I had a good stay.

The location as it's within minutes to restaurants, subway, park, and shops. Overall, the hotel stay was great.
