Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I loved the Art Deco rooms, the balcony, the bathroom, the bars and restaurants and the location. I loved how friendly everybody was and how accommodating they were. I appreciated the steamer being brought to my room.

IrelandIt's a pity that guests don't have free access to the sauna upstairs in the spa unless they book a spa treatment.
Me and my boyfriend spent one night at the Hotel Chelsea for his birthday. The bath tub was huge and perfect for a 2 people soak. The bed was SO heavenly comfortable, and so were the pillows. The room was quiet and clean, the toiletries exquisite, and everything about this place looked cool, artsy and decadent. Marshall speakers too! And such a great location. Would love to come back, our stay was way too short!

Beautiful & Historic. From start finish this hotel has been absolutely marvellous. On the advice of an American friend I booked the Hotel Chelsea for my son and his girlfriend. Obviously, I’d already heard of it in terms of the artistic and literary community who are associated with it but I had no idea what it was like now. The interactions I had prior to my son‘s arrival were second to none. I booked a car to meet them at the airport via the hotel and also arranged to pay the final bill. Every single question I asked received an instant response and each person’s answer was considered and charming. I’d like to mention them all by name, they are Tracy Liu, Madeline and Amy Tang. My son’s stay was perfect in every way from the moment they arrived to the moment they left. They couldn’t say enough good things. The location was ideal. He said their room had the biggest bed that they had ever seen in their lives and that every single thing about the room was just lovely. It was ideal and we will be back. Thank you so much Hotel Chelsea.

United StatesThe property is at a very convenient location. The arts on the wall give the hotel a very cozy gallery feel. They expended restaurant for excellent breakfast, and a wonderful SPA experience on the 11th floor, made our stay feel very special. We have stayed here in 2023, and 2024. Our room cleaners are very professional at their job. The room is kept very clean during our stay. Door men are entertaining and positive. Most front desk staff are friendly, especially Tracy at the front desk, she is very accommodating during our 10 day stay.

It was a real pleasure to stay in this fantastic hotel with its amazing history and super-relaxed ambience. We booked a room with a balcony and we were also lucky enough to be upgraded to a larger balcony room. The room was beautifully decorated - especially the fabulous curtains! The pillows were super-comfortable and it was perfectly clean. The boiled eggs at breakfast were heavenly!

the design, decor, room, view, location, staff - absolutely everything - we stayed there twice in the past month for 4 days and then 6 days a few days later - they upgraded us for the second stay - the cafe chelsea where we had breakfast every day (running a salon most days) was wonderful, the bar was great, the service and the staff amazing, as I've already said - the best hotel I've ever stayed at bouncing the Galle Face Hotel in Colombo to number 2
