Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesRoaches spiders the toilet didn’t even flush. The curtains had cigarette burns. There were cars parked in the parking lot all over the property that seem to have been left for years. This place was so ghetto disgusting! 🤮
Nothing I didn’t get my refund and I returned the hotel card back 30 minutes after I checked in I couldn’t even stay there because it was so disgusted with roaches and spiders!

United StatesI've stayed at many Super8 hotels and have always been very happy, until now. The Redlands location may have a Super8 sign in front but that is where the similarity ends. The "lobby" is now a storage room full of dusty boxes. Grounds were a mess, when was the last time a broom saw the area? The stairs once painted yellow are now black with grime. Room looks beat up. etc... If this is the quality level that Super8 is moving to please let me know so I can avoid this in the future.
