The restaurant and room service were our least favorite aspect of the stay. The restaurant food was not great and the prices were not worth it. The room service food was cold when we got it, the prices, again, were too high for what we got and they forgot to add in items that we ordered so we had to call and have them sent up later which made the meal less appealing. If we hadn't had a long drive before arriving to the hotel, we would not have spent the money to eat at the hotel restaurant. Disappointing to say the least.

The room was amazing! We also had spa treatments and the facilities were wonderful and the services exceeded our expectations. The employees were both friendly and attentive.

The tipsy trout bartenders could have handled a situation better when we were brought out cold chowder. Our food was not brought in a timely manner and hot chowder was brought out at the end of the meal and still charged us for it. We still tipped well but we were disappointed.

    Stunning property and location

Food at the restaurant, was not bad but not great either...do not remember the name, but not the fish restaurant.

Beautiful accommodations, staff was super friendly, informative and helpful in all the staffing positions, from bellman, to room service, reception and housekeeping....we stayed another night because of the location and the comfort at the lodge.

The place is overpriced for what you get, but that seems to be the case for most New England destination places, especially in the fall. Also the staff was a bit weird about parking - multiple staff members (outside entrance and at front desk check in) kept insisting that I use the valet parking since it was the “cheapest/best” option and said the self-parking would be full and much more expensive, but the self-parking lot was empty and turned out to be about the same cost as valet for the number of hours we were staying. They also told me I couldn’t park there until our room was ready because I’d need my room key to enter the parking lot, but you just take a ticket when entering and the first 6 hours are free, so it seemed odd that they had wanted me to leave my car with valet until the room was ready and then move my car to self-park. Then when checking out I was charged for valet parking - they were quick to refund it when I noticed it on the itemized receipt, but they should have asked whether I had used valet or not. Just a slightly off element to the stay, but didn’t cloud an otherwise great trip! Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location for a fall getaway! The property is surrounded by gorgeous fall colors and easy access to the gondola up Mount Mansfield and the scenic Smuggler’s Notch drive. The room was good sized, clean, quiet, and comfortable. We enjoyed drinks at the Whiskey Pig and dinner at Alpine Hall. The pool and hot tub were nice as well. Overall it was a great stay!

Minor ones - pool could have been warmer - the kids couldn’t stay in long, but it was fantastic swimming outdoors in the autumn. It would also be nice if breakfast was included or discounted (as the room was quite expensive)

Absolutely wonderful! The room was super comfortable, spacious and clean with amazing views up to the mountain and overlooking the pool. The communal areas were fantastic, restaurants delicious with friendly staff, valet and bell services efficient… We also enjoyed having a drink at the WhistlePig after dinner and letting the kids play Jenna and run around/burn some energy off. This is a superb hotel

Top notch from head to toe! Every detail was just spot on. We were considering this might be the nicest place we’ve ever stayed. Ritz Carlton Tahoe is equivalent but the Lodge at Spruce Peak hit a home run making sure everything is thought about and perfectly executed. (Head to Edson Hill for dinner if you can get a reservation). We loved the beautiful marble floors, the warm pool, warmer hot tub, all the chairs on the pool deck, the deep bath tubs with delicious smelling spearmint soap, most amazing sheets on the bed and spacious rooms for all our items & bags. The gondola to the main gondola is just outside the resort a few steps. Breakfast was fantastic! We were blown away.

The only complaints I would have it the food options were limited and the stores were not great for shopping. It’s a ski resort so most of the stores sold ski gear, maybe on the summer it would make sense to switch it out a bit and sell some summer clothing.

This may have been one of my favourite hotels I have ever stayed at. The pool was great and clean. The rooms was amazing. Honestly we just really loved this resort.

I did not like that I shared a balcony. I had kids running outside my slider glass door. The slider glass door did not lock even after calling for maintenance the door locked that night the next day it would not work. I had the kids parents outside my sliding glass door looking in my room while i was walking in the room trying to get dressed. It was uncomfortable and surprising to see I had to shut the curtains not enjoying the view or daylight. At night the kids and parents were talking and laughing loud until 12 midnight. I had a hard time getting a good night sleep and was annoyed. Waking up my door would not lock and was not feeling safe. There should be a bar to lock the sliding glass door so I can sleep safe and not worry waking up to having a unsafe incidence. I watch the news and being safe with locking my doors is important and cautious. My patient went here and told me the story of the same story that she had encountered. That was the only problem that I disliked.

I loved my room location, great spot. The food was excellent and service was good. Staff was friendly and professional.

Fridge didn’t work, which is a first for me staying in a resort for this amount of money. It’s a waist of food and my growing boys are always hungry. We called to have it fixed, but it still didn’t work. I also was never offered slippers at the spa. When I asked for a pair, it was ones I could not get wet in the shower. The showers had a bunch of hair, shampoo on the floor and old razors in several of the shower stalls. Even after staff had walked through to what I assume is to “clean”. I get that both of things can occur, but at this price point I expect more.

Resort was beautiful. Mountain, rooms, shops, restaurants, skiing, heated outdoor pool. Friendly staff
