Passing by on my way to gran canyon. I arrived at night 22-23pm without reservation. The guy was nice and I’ve got a room easily. My second night on the way back was reserved. At arrival I asked for a room on the ground floor. Petition accepted.

Bathroom was kinda old and wasn't that clean. Towels had hair and the heater sounded like an Airbus 320's engine

The noise of the air conditioning is large.

The price is extremely good! The facility is beyond our expectations with the low price. The room is very neat, and the environment is quiet. It is a perfect place for passengers to stay.

It was old and not clean enough - dirty floor, yellow stains on the blanket (though it seemed washed), dust on and in the coffee machine - the coffee tasted terrible and was not drinkable. The room was very old, the bathroom amenities should be replaced (rust, broken drawers etc.). The light in the bathroom was a joke - you could not see anything. No hairdryer in the room and the one I got from the reception was all sticky cause of the dirt on it. The check-in took very long - we had to wait at the closed door outside for 15 minutes before anyone came (though when they came, they were polite).

Price. Protein bars and water in the room was nice. The room was cleaned to minimum acceptable extent buy not enough (we got dirt on our feet from the carpet).

Though the room was clean, the carpeting had stains that made it feel dirty, towels were clean but a bit raggedy, no filters for coffeemaker, fridge was left off so had a bad odor, the AC took a long time to cool down room.

I didn't like that when I arrived, the pillow was literally filthy and I had to take it off the bed. I brought my own pillow and used that. I needed maid service a couple of times but trying to call the office for the maid service is very difficult as it seems that the guy in reception is not on duty all of the times. I tried to call in the morning around 10 am and he did not answer the phone. They need a better way to let the maid know when you need room service. I didn't need it every day, but when I did need it, I couldn't get it. Other than that, I think the room was a good value and I would stay here again.

If you are looking for an affordable hotel in Barstow, this is definitely a good value for the money. The things I liked: Very good heater as it gets very cold in the winter, and a decent sized refrigerator for food. A functional microwave and the bed was comfortable.
