Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe liked our room very much. It was cozy with the sofa and fireplace. Food was convenient at the Harrison's Restaurant on premises. Lots of good restaurants in town. Having the shuttle (provided by the Inn) was special as we did not have to hunt for parking when going into town. We will definitly come back.

United StatesBoth my wife and I had significant allergy attacks the second we walked in our room. The carpets look very old and are probably why. While the room was clean, there is a musty smell. As soon as we left the room, the allergies got better but as soon as we returned, so did the allergies. They need to invest in new carpets.
Location was beautiful. Right on the harbor. Beautiful deck attached to the room

United StatesPricey, but we were celebrating our anniversary. Normally it would be out of our price range. Continental breakfast wouldn’t have hurt.
Beautiful stay, wonderful staff, comfortable and clean, enjoyed the pool with live music. Staff was very pleasant and attentive. Complementary shuttle into town.

United StatesOne complaint. We wanted to plug in our phones and also use the iron. We found outlets but they were very inconvenient. (Or else I missed something.) I would suggest a couple of multi-plug devices for convenience.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was good. The room was comfortable.

United StatesThe pool is very small and it can get crowded so not a lot of chairs. The rooms seem to need a little updating. However, it seems in keeping with beachy or boating towns.
They have a shuttle to everything free of charge. It's also in walking distance to the town. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The food at the restaurant is very good.

United StatesThe first room given to us was very small and located farthest from the front desk and activities of the hotel. The place was pretty vacant, so we weren't sure why we were placed so remotely. We arrived 9p Wednesday night from NJ and stayed until Friday morning March 12-14, we are a couple in our 50s. Our first room had handicap access with a very very small shower. We did not request a disability room. The TV had no signal, the lamp did not turn on, and at 2am, I woke up sweating because the HVAC system was broken, and we couldn't turn the heat off. I did not sleep for more than 2 hours; this nearly ruined our short stay because I was so tired. The icing was the presence of men's shaving hair in the bathroom sink-except that we hadn't used the bathroom yet, disgusting. The next morning, we promptly spoke with the hotel Manager, and he went above and beyond to correct all of the issues. He quickly offered us a viewing of 3 other rooms, and we settled on the best room in the house with a huge balcony overlooking the river. It was on the 3rd floor, had a king-sized bed and a large seating area. The one-bedroom suite had sliding glass doors which opened onto the balcony, beautiful. We ate dinner on our second night's stay at the Harbour Lights restaurant in our hotel We sat outside on the rooftop overlooking the river and had a gorgeous view. The place was very vacant of customers. The food was good, not great with the exception of the bread pudding which is the best I have ever eaten. The service was excellent however likely would not eat there again. The town of St. Michael: The very small but quaint town center has mostly retail shops with a limited number of places to eat. Options include Italian, a small pub and cafe and a few other places that were closed. We settled on a casual wine and pizzeria which was good but not great. One glass of cabernet was $18! Would never go back there. Many things were closed because its off-season, not sure.
Hotel has rooms with water view options. Rooftop bar/restaurant is available. Bicycle rentals are included in fee for guests to use. A few rooms have a large balcony that overlooks the Miles River. Very relaxing to sit on the deck and watch the harbor sights.

United StatesI WAS SHOCKED AT THE SIZE OF THE TV BUT WHO REALLY WATCHES TV ON VACATION? MY ONLY ISSUE OR REQUEST IS THAT WHEN ROOM SERVICE IS SERVICING THE ROOM, THEY WEAR HAIR NETS. THERE WAS HAIR IN THE BATHROOM. ON THE FLOOR AND COUNTERTOP THAT DID NOT BELONG TO ME OR MY PARTNER. AND I SPENT TIME WIPING AND TRYING TO CLEAN THE HAIR UP.
THE VIEW WAS AWESOME AND TRANQUIL. I GOT LOST IN JUST WATCHING THE BIRDS PLAY ON THE WATER. WHEN IT RAINED IT WAS SO RELAXING. I WOULD RETURN TO RELAX IN THE ROOM. I ENJOYED THE TUB IN THE LIVING ROOM SPACE. IT WAS A PERFECT ROOM HONESTLY. EVERYONE WAS SO FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. I DID NOT FEEL AS IF I WAS IN THE WRONG PLACE

United StatesThe main lobby had an odor, that was similar to that of a hospital/nursing home, which didn’t make for a great welcome. There was only 1 microwave and ice machine for the entire 3-floored hotel, which was located on the first floor. This was inconvenient. The water pressure in the shower was very low and the water wasn’t always hot, making showering kind of unpleasant. The room was clean in some areas, however, there were areas that were unkept.
The staff was extremely pleasant and professional. They were very accommodating! The room was extremely spacious and had a beautiful view of the marina. The location was perfect, very close to the main strip. There was a complimentary shuttle which drove you to and from your destination in St. Michael’s. There was a tea/coffee maker on each floor, which was very convenient. There was a refrigerator in the room, which was convenient and we were provided glasses/wine glasses for drinking. There was also a restaurant located in the hotel, which made dining convenient, if you don’t want to leave the hotel.
