Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesOur biggest problem was Upon arrival we had to have our key card reactivated 4 times before the 5th time it was realized we were given the wrong room number by staff. Then also toilet did not flush correctly, the milk at breakfast expired that day so no-one risked drinking it, and the AC buttons did not work we had to unplug it whenever we wanted it off. The glass door for the bathroom did not lock and was not something I appreciated in my room with to young kids one being legally blind.

United StatesAir flow could have been better from suite bedroom to main room. Pullout bed was uncomfortable and sheets for it were not great.
The room was a decent size and king bed was comfortable. Pull out bed was not, but that is typical. Wasn’t expecting the door to the suite room to be glass, but we made it work. The air didn’t seem to work in the main room but did in the bedroom suite so we just left the door open to let the air into the main room. The breakfast was excellent and we were very impressed with the options and quality. Overall it was clean and common areas were nice.

United StatesThe breakfast food was poor. The eggs were mushy and didn't taste like eggs like they weren't fresh. The sausage links were under cooked which is dangerous with pork. The staff also gave us a room that had another guest in it but they moved us to a different room

United StatesWe arrived at 5:30pm for check in and our room wasn’t ready. We were told it was because they were short on cleaning staff. So we had t wait for 15-20 more minutes. We were told to go have a seat and they would tell us when it was ready. After we sat for longer than expected, I had to go back to the desk and the gentleman told me he forgot about us. So we finally got to our room at 6:00pm.
Our room was nice and the location was great. The breakfast was ok but the seating area was small.

CanadaWIFI was a nightmare, not stable ,kept disconnecting. I called the front desk about 4 times but no help was received. I was told the router was connected. The roof of the bathroom had previous leak and you can see this as this big discolored area and it feels like the roof is going to cave in. My 6yr old niece refused to be in there by herself.
It was close to major highway. Quiet and no animals.
