Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesTheir airport shuttle bus driver was a jerk, surly and treated everyone on the bus like cattle. The shower sprayer was poor and the breakfast’s overpriced. But they staff is nice and provide some less expensive options for those that don’t want a huge buffet.
Good location for an early flight or in our case a late arrival. Big room, comfy bed, quiet and nice staff. Overall relaxing.

SingaporeThe shuttle bus to and from the airport is great, though when waiting at the airport you'll need to keep your eyes peeled to make sure you don't miss a bus. They don't wait long (literally a few seconds) and if you don't flag them down immediately, have fun waiting for the next one. The buses also don't come all the way to the front of the shuttle bus waiting area so they may just pull in at the back of it, assume no one is waiting and then drive off (yes that happened to me).
It was reasonably clean. Expensive but comparable to others in the area. The staff who checked me in was nice. As a solo female I felt safe there.

AustraliaWhere you had to park was confusing due to lack of Sonseta sinage. Other hotels that use the same parking lot seemed to do a better job with directions to where you had to park for their hotel. This is important as they will tow you if you park in the wrong space.
It met my expectations for an airport hotel. Four walls, comfortable bed, free airport transfer and it was clean. Got the essenrials right.

AustraliaParking was extra and it should be made known before finding out that it costs $25 for everytime you drive in and out. For a 4 star.hotel it is looking pretty tired. Could be neater throughout. $15 for a shot of Jack Daniel seems a little over the top.
