Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bed was comfy & always appreciate a property that accepts dogs. Fridge already included in the room is also a plus. Location was great as we were traveling into Charlotte & needed something easy & close to DT. Matthews DT area is super cute & only about 10 minutes drive.

Although housekeeping came daily, I had to ask for towels, wash cloths & hand towels The same breakfast options were served every day. There was a photo of the pool on the website. However, the pool hasn't functioned in awhile.

United StatesThe digital television only had a few channels working with no interruption. When I called the front desk the first day, they said it was a cable TV issue when they obviously use digital television. I knew I wouldn't be able to get any kind of a partial refund and I didn't want to change rooms so I dealt with it.
The beds are comfortable and it was clean. I could have stayed at another, way nicer, hotel with a much lower rate but I liked this location. When I asked the attendant if he would match that lower rate, he refused, stating that there was a baseball game or something and that was just bull.

United StatesThe pool that was advertised was closed. The pool had been a large reason for booking this hotel, and we had already paid through Booking for the room when we got there and found out the pool was closed. The kids had their bathing suits and pool toys and were incredibly disappointed. The staff were not very friendly either, but not mean.
The room was clean and breakfast was okay. They were able to give us our request for joined rooms.

United StatesWe were in the first floor pet friendly rooms. The walls were filthy, especially next to where we sleep. The shower floor moved when stepping on it. There was literal blood on the walls. We got awful sleep not because the bed was uncomfy, but we were terrified of touching anything in the room.
The location is great. Close to tons of stores and restaurants. I didn’t feel like I was threatened in anyway.
