Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThis is a flagship hotel, so you have to be prepared for the price. That said, they are very transparent about rates and fees. At $55/day for parking, we turned in our rental car before arrival and picked up another car when we left.
I've been lucky enough to visit this hotel several times over the past decades. The ocean front location can't be beat. This is our true "splurge" visit, so we take advantage of everything we can. I book a high level ocean front room to ensure the very best view, and it does not disappoint. This time we spotted both turtles and rays from our vantage point. The staff is kind and extremely helpful. And as I already mentioned, this is our "splurge", so I also reserved loungers in the infinity pool. What a view!

United States of AmericaExpensive, but I guess that’s expected for oceanfront in Hawai’i.
Location and pools were great! Beautiful grounds and we loved the infinity pool.

United States of AmericaThe wristband as the keycard for the room is a great idea, but the mechanism that holds it needs improvement. I had it on as securely as possible but the moment I went into the ocean it un hooked itself and floated off into the water. So be careful with it in the water.
The room was nice, the view was nice and the pool was great. It could be a little more clear on the rules about ONLY registered guests being allowed in the pool. But otherwise it was great.

ChinaStill, if someone lives very close to you. You can hear them talking through balcony.
This was my third or fourth time in Sheraton. Before I always chose ocean view. But this time I tried city view. It was a lot better. Ocean view can be a little be noisy, city view is quieter.

AustraliaNo room at pool, more pool facilities would be excellent. I prefer swimming in a pool but couldn't get access to it so we swam at the beach on each day we were there. There was room at the over 16s pool which would have been great but we couldn't swim there because one of our kids was 12.
Room was fabulous for our family of 5, it was great to have a room where our family of 5 could stay in the same room as all our children were under 18. The view was SUPURB. loved our stay at Sheraton Waikiki! Great location, friendly staff and fantastic amenities. I would stay again!

NetherlandsIt was not possible to include breakfast. However, it was not really necessary as there were so many places nearby where you could have breakfast.
It was great to stay at Sheraton Hotel. It was right in front of the Waikiki Beach and in the middle of multiple malls. Great location, accommodation and personnel!

AustraliaMaybe the lifts could improve for example we never knew which lift was open so we would be running to the lift and then it would close or someone beat us to it so then we were running to the next.
Room was very pleasing, comfortable, clean and spacious. Lightening was sufficient, design of bathroom was very practical. Location is brilliant so close to the Royal Hawaiin and Mona Surf Rider and adult pool was refreshing (only it poured so only used it for a day).

United KingdomThe bath, I would prefer a walk in shower. We went to the Kauai island and overall it was expensive and with all the resorts taxes which are $45-$56 per night is a bit overwhelming for us. And they are giving you for that free internet and permission to use the fitness and the pools but in Europe and Asia you are getting that and more for free without resorts taxes. We travel for 6 weeks in US and unless you are staying in rental homes or apartments is like that. The good thing is that for all budgets there are different hospitality options.
The best location. Not only the hotel but the city is expensive. After all you are in Honolulu and you should be prepared. I think that the resort taxes are overwhelming and that is the way in US. The staff is very nice and helpful. Our room has a nice view of the Diamond head but you have to pay for that more. The room was very clean. The bathroom is with a bath which is not very comfortable for people who are bit older but it is not very high. We didn't have any breakfast but we had dinner few times and the food was good and the prices are not very expensive compared to the restaurants in the area. At the mall next to the hotel is a food center and they have lower prices but the food is pure compared to the hotel. The best part is that the hotel location is superb. The pool is a little bit small but again with the best view. The children pool is fun and away from the adults pool.

AustraliaThin walls. A family was nearby and I could hear their baby crying at night. Fortunately during my stay, this would stop at around 11pm. And loud noises from the aircon.
Room was always clean, spacious, safe and reasonably quiet. The view of the ocean and Diamond Head from the balcony was incredible. Location of the hotel is central and easy to get around on foot, cab or Uber. Most tours will pick up/drop off at the hotel which was great. Shops, beach, restaurants and amenities were all easily accessible. Staff from all corners are polite and will do their best to assist you if needed. And early check-in was possible which was a relief.
