I wish pool and beach stayed open until sundown. I wish coffee in the room was better quality. I hated the carpet in room, it always is a bearer of dirt and bacteria… Why would you need a carpet in such a climate? I also did not like much the bathtub and shower combination, very difficult to keep clean.

The location was excellent for someone who needs peace and quiet in an upscale neighbourhood away from the tourist areas. The staff was excellent, very professional. The building is very old but has been successfully renovated in full compliance with its initial character so as to give off old school, retro Miami vibes. Provided that you go with that look and do not look for something ultra modern. Bed, towels excellent quality that one does not find in more expensive resorts. Nice view even from my room that faced Collins and the bay, I enjoyed the balcony a lot every night.

It was too hot in Miami :). We had room in 1st flloor and seaview was limited, so try to ask bit higher floors.

Location really next to beach was amazing. You have to pay about car parking, but that also near to entrance, so that is great. Room was really sparkling clean and Concierce Mike make us feel confortable. Hotel have great beach and huge pool. ps. stuff also delivered micro-wave to our rooms, so we were able to have some own snacks food (instead to eat all the time heavy fast food).

Would have appreciated a room on a higher floor. We were on the first floor, so even the second floor would have given us a better view of the ocean. So, I did not ask. Just an after thought. Frequently in town, would be a frequent customer otherwise... it is the little things that make a hotel excellent...

Bar closed too early. I was unaware of having to pay for parking when I made the reservations. I also was led to believe that I would have an ocean view.

We paid extra for a balcony and were very disappointed with the location of the room because our balcony was too close to the construction going on every day all day at the building right next door to our balcony. Staff should not give guests rooms near construction. I ate most of my meals at the hotel and the dinner meals took so long to serve. I was usually the only one at dinner so was surprised it took such a long time to get my meals served. My last night there last Thursday, there was a African man who waited on me and he never checked on me once to see if I needed anything once he served me. I had to get up to find him when I needed anything.

We purposely travel during the slower season and I liked that the hotel was quiet. I also liked hotel being very close to the beach. The breakfast's and dinner meals were excellent. Melania was our waitress for our breakfast's and she was awesome and also for Sunday dinner. She gave us ideas for shopping and where to view the sunsets. She deserves a raise. We arrived late on Sunday and she was very gracious with feeding us before they closed for dinner.

Pool area needs to be modernized.Green decor and lack of plants and energy.Seems like alot of guest are retirees.But they can attract younger people with ambience outside improved.

I ordered room service. A turkey club and Diet Coke cost almost $70. I should have asked the price for room service first, or better yet they should tell you.

We have been coming here for years. It’s more a resort than a hotel. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. In todays world the cleaning service seems to now be “ service as needed”. That can prove to be annoying but doable. It’s close to stores and restaurants, but more importantly it has a large pool and is on the beach.

Pool was closed the one day that we were not in conference; never knew if restaurant was actually open; finding places to eat in Collins was a challenge. Traffic!!!! Nearby construction in both sides

I grew up in Miami. Bal Harbour is absolutely stunning, still to this day. The location to Dade and Broward County is ideal.

We had reserved an oceanfront king room and got a room with 2 queen beds. Also, when they finally told us our room was ready, we went to the room only to find housekeeping still cleaning. They told us it would be 15 minutes. I went to the front desk to inform them and they apologized and said they would call us as soon as it was finished. We waited by the pool for another 45 minutes and I finally went back to the front desk as it was close to 4:30 now. They said they were just going to call us to let us know we could go to our room.

Breakfast was good and it was wonderful sitting outside and looking at the ocean!

The pool closed at 5 PM (on Tuesday).

The Staff was friendly, the location was within walking distance of places to eat and shop, parking was on-site, and the room was very clean and had a city view.

Rooms are dated and not as clean as could be. Carpet was not vacuumed and had hair from previous occupant. Bathtub clogged and room did not have hair dryer. Was not aware of coffee shop. Bar in hotel closes early.

On entry, the first floor was beautiful. Lobby and dining room dated but very nice. The room was way too expensive for an older style decor.

We could not fault anything.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. From the moment we checked in we felt welcome. Our room was very bright and spacious. We had a balcony with a sweeping view of the Miami skyline. The swimming pool area was very impressive. The very big pool has a deep end of 9 feet. The area is very spacious with lots of sun loungers. There is direct access to a lovely stretch of beach.

Rooms dated. Bathrooms dated, very unruly neighbor one night, additional expenses not shown in reservation info. We were located right above the exhaust for the food prep areas, and it was very noisy.
