Our first-choice place a choice to stay after our annual pilgrimage to the Saratoga mineral baths!

The rooms are a little dated and not especially elegant given the price, and the bathrooms could use an update, for sure. Also, we were put in a room right around the bend from the elevators (No. 425) and could hear the loud rumble of it going up and down day and night. But the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Would not stay anywhere else up there!

The hotel oozes historic old-world charm with its 1930-era lobby and quaint window displays annd murals along the hallways. The surrounding park is spacious and relaxing, and the proximity to the Roosevelt spa mineral baths (within walking distance) cannot be beat! They ordinarily offer a lavish brunch buffet on Sundays, but it was not available this past weekend due to two large wedding parties, or so we were told. But the a la carte breakfast offerings are ample and tasty too.

I could hear everyone talking as they walked by the hallway up to around 1:00 am. In addition, there was a dog in one of the rooms on our floor that was barking and whining for a good part of the night. Needles to say, we did not have a good night sleep.

The location and grounds were spectacular.

The noise level was unacceptable in our room. We kept hearing some form of compressor. It sounded like a truck for hours on end. The overall room was old and tired and not the cleanest. The hallways were noisy at night. You can easily hear folks outside your door.

Comfortable bed & pillows. Location is close to downtown Saratoga.

I booked massages for myself and my husband, they did not have my husband's appointment and they were not able to give him an appointment that day. The bathrooms were very old.

I liked the staff, they were friendly and helpful. The charm and history of the place was excellent.

One of the front desk employees was rude and difficult, not only to us but to several other people who also had rooms. She seems to override the other front desk employees who were kind and hospitable. Was not a good experience for us.

There was some confusion about additional fee when I checked in- hotel said I hadn’t been charged but checking later on email I confirmed that it was included. Resort fee/amenities fee? Also didn’t like that “access” the nearby Spa (same ownership) means nothing—No discounts were offered when we were there, and they wanted to charge extra even for hotel guests to just sit in the sauna. It was disappointing, despite the impressive exterior , especially since the pool was closed on a hot September weekend.

Didn’t have any meals there but it is a very nice place. Staff was friendly. My room was small but I booked last minute. The property is beautiful and parking and access to the state park & SPAC couldn’t be be better. Possibly understaffed, at least when we were there.

There were a few signs of minor wear and tear in the bathroom but nothing big. Shower head was extremely low, sort of chest height, so it seems like it would be difficult to wash your hair or wash in general if you’re tall.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room showed minor signs of wear and tear but was comfortable and quiet. Great walkable location for going to events at SPAC. We were only there for one night so didn’t use the shuttle or other facilities.
