Since the AC was off due to conservation efforts, the room smelled like mildew. The scent got better after the AC was turned on.

The front desk clerk was extremely courteous and helpful.

WiFi in the building I stayed in (room 110) was not working for the entire stay. I asked the desk staff about this a couple of times, and was told that they were working on it. Not a deal breaker, but it was inconvenient since cell service in the room was very poor. Had to go to lobby or breakfast room for internet access.

Easy check in and check out. Locked out of room (card reader not working) late one evening. Maintenance employee had just left, but desk clerk cheerfully and quickly fixed the card reader (just needed new batteries). Breakfast room clean and well stocked. Room was comfortable and clean.

The staff at Old Town Inn were very friendly. The place was very clean. We loved the interior and exterior design of the motel. It is very beautiful. The location of this motel is very convenient as it is close to public transport and shops. We caught the train from LA to Old Town train station and it is only a 5 minute walk from the train station to the motel. Breakfast was also included in our stay and it was delicious.

We were in a room near the road and the single-glazed windows meant it was quite noisy. Beware there is a nearby Marine Training Facility that plays a loud horn and the national anthem each morning at 8am! The maid came by very early each day when we still in the room getting ready and we had to ask for her to come back, even on check out day.

The location is perfect for visiting the Old Town State Park and for catching the trolley or bus to other areas (just a few minutes walk away). We had a car and this was a great location for going to the Beaches areas. Breakfast was simple but good - we loved making our own waffles! The room was large and clean with everything you need, a little dated but that was fine with us for a 4 night stay. Parking was easy and never a problem. Staff were friendly - Sydney in particular was excellent. The pool area looked nice although we didn't have time to use it.

Rooms are outdated but fine and the immediate vicinity is not exciting, but Old Town is within a couple blocks and easy to walk to.

The location is great for Old Town and transportation. We took Amtrak which was extremely easy and convenient. The flowers were gorgeous at the hotel. Choose a first floor room by the pool if you can.

    The internet was down.

We liked the location near the Waterfront and Old Town San Diego. The rooms are comfortable. We didn't use the swimming pool but it would be nice for warm days. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate. The hotel is close to a number of supermarkets and convenience stores.

The reception was wonderful, informative, pleasant and booked us into our room early without any issues. Breakfast was perfect, and the staff were engaging and lovely. The location was ideal, we were able to walk to old town and spend the day enjoying the historic sites and food before we got on the train to the ballpark for the evening game :) highly recommend!

Parking was a bit tight and filled up before 8pm but theres only so much they can do about that, its usually people that are the problem with not parking in the lines. I recommend if going out at night on a busy weekend, leave the car there and take an Uber or walk to your destination!

Great place to stay in San Diego! In walking distance from Old Town and SOMA theater, easy driving distance from Mission bay, downtown, the harbor, and sunset cliffs. Not the cheapest place you can find but definitley competitive for the area and quality! They had so many ammenities like the pool, DVDs & games that could be borrowed, and continental breakfast (with a waffle maker!) I had added on a third night late a few days before staying for a holiday weekend and they were able to keep me in the same room! There was no annoyance or negativity either from the person i talked to on the phone or who checked me in which I really appreciated. NO EXTRA parking fee was a huge bonus unlike so many SD hotels!

The rooms are really tired. Quite noisy due to close proximity of highways. Overpriced.

Nice breakfast for the type of the hotel. Convenient for the airport and the old town.
