The bar staff were extremely rude and the service poor. Had one drink and then went elsewhere for the rest of the trip. Could have done with a microwave and more than one packet of coffee per day

Hotel towers and rooms are dated. That said, renovation works are on-going, so kudos for this effort to modernize the hotel.

Room small, cramped, although nicely decorated. Bugs! Bed mattress lumpy. Front desk staff not as friendly as I expected. Resort showing its age, cracks in the cement on the lanai. Plumbing in bathroom a problem at times.

Located on the water, close to town. Restaurants easily accessible. Beautiful view, lots of activities provided, luau, singers etc. Spa a bonus for me. Most employees very pleasant, helpful. Value for dollar good.

In an overall impression it felt a little bit neglected(?). Buildings are much older than they look on photos. Also we feel that not all of offered activities were communicated clearly enough.

The room had a beautiful view, we loved our balcony! Also the swimming pool and lagoon were amazing and right next to us, so that's a big plus. Localization is great and rooms are clean with daily service of cleaning.

Plastic cups and disposable coffee cups daily, you are literally by the ocean trying to protect endangered turtles and monk seals yet plastic! It’s such an outdated practice, get glasses and coffee mugs in the room or buy people reusable bottles like other places, really lacked in this department. Beds were very uncomfortable and bathrooms very outdated despite it being recently renovated.

This property is fantastic for its location, it’s Hawaii feel, sunsets, convenience, beautiful grounds, pool, bar etc Rooms have STUNNING views and it is such an amazing price!

The surrounding areas of the hotel are very hard to beat by other hotels in Kona. The bar views and pool are great! Overall the hotel is basic, if you can make peace with having a simple comfortable room to come back to after a great day out or after spending time in the hotel amenities it is perfect.

Room had a bit of a musty smell to it. Would have liked to have been able to open the door and close the shutters at night, but couldn't due to the noise (airconditioner ?) from below.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Great view from my fourth floor room. The staff were lovely. I had to ask for the vent above the bathroom to be cleaned which was done not long after requesting. Walking distance to great eateries (Lava Java, Fosters Kitchen).

The room and view from the balcony and the staff member at reception who gave us this room were wonderful. The lagoon pool at the end of the hotel was spectacular and was frequented by turtles and lots of fish.

Quilt was too thin. I asked for additional quilt/blanket three times but never received. Dirty wall in the bathroom.

THE ROOM KEPT SMELLING OF POOP WHEN THE AIR WAS ON, YOU HAVE TO ASK FOR A MICROWAVE ONE IS NOT IN THE ROOM. DID NOT SEE ANY FINE PRINT THAT A HOLD WAS GOING TO BE PLACED ON MY CARD FOR 100 EACH DAY WE ARE THERE WHICH IS INCONVIENT.

THE VIEW WAS BEAUTIFUL, THE AREA WAS AMAZING CLOSE TO WALK AROUND TO LITTLE SHOPS, THE DON THE BEACHCOMBER BAR AND GRILL HAD SOME AMAZING LOCO MOCO AND DRINKS. THE CLEANING STAFF ACCIDENTLY THREW AWAY SOME MEDICAL SUPPLIES (GUAZE) AND THE FACILITY SENT SECURITY UP IMMEDIATELY TO REPLACE IT WHICH WAS AWESOME.
